In the world cup this was basically totally ignored when the south African lad give it large at the end of the England game basically tom curry was shrugged at as no way were they going to get involved with it we now see a charge from the police on a complaint about a pro footballer doing this to a police officer (we don't know the context) absolutely no "let due process run" here. It is literally full bore support.
Maybe 20 years ago but the Brits are world class at legally avoiding tax. I don’t reckon you’d find much here tbh. It wouldn’t be palatable but also wouldn’t be illegal.

I think you need to ask that question to someone who's been threatened, abused or intimidated for simply being white. Thankfully neither you nor I have but there are plenty out there who can attest to it. I could ask, conversely, why does anyone feel the need to mention race at all in any put down or heated exchange. If someone sees you as an idiot or whatever, in their eyes you're an idiot, adding white or black is unnecessary and makes their comment immediately racist. You can stop being an idiot but you can't change your skin colour, so anyone using your colour in a comment directed to you is usually doing it to be purposefully offensive. I take issue with phrases like white privilege and toxic masculinity, as two examples, because they are designed to make things worse and not better. We should be striving to point out how similar we are, not how different.
I think you'd have to be under constant threat all day every day for that to have a real impact. Not many white peeople in the uk could claim that. Personally I'd be looking funny at someone and laughing at them for saying it or it'd not register. their aggression would register more. Racisim is an issue for people of various colours as they feel threat and its constant, in the similar way to LGBTQ++ peopel feel threat or women feel threat walking down a dark street. you or me can't really comprhend the feeling they have all the time and how the word impacts. Yes the terms are agressive and come from peoepl with hate in their minds. Alienating potential allies for your cause is counter productive.
I don't want to get into another contentious issue but with the massive increase in illegal immigration, there are increasing instances of anti-white hate. Couple that with (again another contentious issue I don't want to delve into) the rise of extreme islamism, and we are seeing anti-white discrimination on a scale not seen before.

Are there? Maybe I’m completely oblivious to it but I’ve not seen any hate towards people just because they’re white. Immigrant's absolutely? Anti semitism? Absolutely. but not because of their skin colour
As I said above, I think it's all subjective. Whether it is worse to insult someone for being black or white. Obviously both are intended as race based insults but from my view, in a white majority country being insulted for being white won't have the same sting as being black. That said, it is all wrong, and laws and rules are not subjective, they have to be objective. As such, if a country, such as the UK has laws against hate speech or hate crimes it has to be applied equally for everyone.
Blue-eyes is often used as a racial insult for white people regardless of their eye colour. Take "Nation of Islam" (it's not really Islam) for example, they believe that once upon a time everyone was black and happy. Then an evil wizard created "Blue Eyed Devils" (white people) and the world became corrupted and bad. Their version of the end-times is Allah (a black man-God) will arrive on a spaceship and kill all the blue eyed Devils. (Yeah... They're a strange cult) ... And that is about as racist and hostile as you can get.
The minute you add another adjective to the insult you are clearly intending to offend by making it extra personal. Otherwise, why are you doing it. Why isn't calling someone an idiot enough without adding fat, short, lanky, colour ......? We have laws regarding race and religion so if ever you're tempted, stay away from those two descriptors
So in your opinion should those insults be treated in the same way as racial insults? Because you’re saying all adjectives before an insult make it personal and should be treated in same way no?
A West End theatre has been putting on black only shows for almost a year. White people aren't allowed to buy tickets. Hate, maybe not, but racial discrimination definitely. Imagine if that was tried the other way around.

From what I can make out, the theatre has put on several Black Out performances going back to May '23 which are for black and black identifying audiences only. It seems reasonable to presume that they won't sell a ticket to anyone white.
