Yes and that’s a good thing. I don’t know anymore. I don’t know whether Howe has to much control but honestly we progress and move forward I don’t give a ****. I just want us to improve and progress. Which we are.
I agree. And the Bournemouth link is a red herring. In my opinion. If the club think he’s the one. Then he’s the one. I think we are on the cusp.
He’s the best player we have signed since Shearer. The kid has it all. He will be up there with the greats.
In all seriousness when you look into what Dan Ashworth has achieved in his 18 months here it's not exactly a lot. The academy is still underwhelming with performances being generally poor. They still have same head of youth development I think. The medical department has been a complete cluster **** this year. The scouting department had recruited a number of staff for positions abroad and still had the head of recruitment in place. The positions were advertised on the clubs website so weren't headhunted by Dan Ashworth. The women's team still has Becky Langley in charge and are going from strength to strength but that's been Amanda's pet project not Dan Ashworth's. The loan department is still headed up by Shola FFS... The commercial side has been successful but that's Darren Eales and his team. So what has Ashworth actually done?
Very little - telling to me that the Joelinton contract debacle seems to be getting sorted very quickly now he's not involved
