Personally had him pegged as another (left footed) Jamal Lascelles.

I don't think Lascelles would have many of the aforementioned clubs scouting him.

Theres allllllllllways links - cba to look for many but Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U links to him before he joined us...

Lloyd Kelly is Lascelles mkII, no way we should be looking at players of that level to improve the squad imho.

Personally wouldn't swap him for Lascelles

That's our level for another season. I mean, he's better than Burn, B'mth club captain and only 25, plus free. I think it's a decent signing, if unspectactular. However, it's only a decent signing if it's alongside a right winger, right sided centre back, centre forward and lastly a midfielder. If we can get five in, first team ready, with youngsters like Miley, Minteh, White, Murphy behind we're going to be very strong.

It's an ok signing, and agree I'd suggest he's ever so slightly better than Burn but it's not a positive step in any direction for me, granted it's a free signing but 23 games last season and 11 so far this tells me either Bournemouth don't rate him or he's injury prone

Scalvini, Todibo, Hinacapie, Stanisic - all likely to cost 20-40m but are great prospects to go alongside Botman who we'd be better investing the time and money into.

He’s being bought for his Dan Burn versatility - I reckon he’ll be a left back

I’d prefer an orthodox LB. Burn can cover Botman as can Schar if we sign a RCB. Plus young Murphy.

Notn sure that’s how we play. Under Howe I think the intention is a shuffling system that can go 3, 4 and 5 at the back. It’s hard to defend against and I hope a better calibre of player can make it work, would be fascinating to see this with XI Bruno or Gordon level players in it, rather than having to use Burn, Miley, Longstaff, Murphy, Almiron, etc.

I’d take him for free. Resale value too.

Minteh apparently back on loan next season. Better be buying a right winger..

Apparently, shortly before being handed a pair of secateurs, Ashworth was in discussions with Sporting Lisbon about NUFC signing Goncalo Inacio.

Now that would be a signing to get excited about. Not sure we can pull off a coup like that but if we could that's the CB's sorted!
