Hmmmm, that's not good. Seemingly we should have been out of sight in the first half. We now must hang on to a point, this would still be classed as a very good point.
I'm gonna blaspheme here. NJ was too slow with the subs. Anderson has been a revelation of late but he was out of sorts and could have come off at t0 minutes. We were tiring badly and needed a shake up halfway through the second half. But the subs worked. Cheltenham were dreaming of a winner when Bakinson scored, and they rest is history. The only downside is that by my calculations, we are mathematically out of the race for automatic promotion.
Don't you just love mid-table mediocrity? We got away with a poor second half after out-of-sorts Anderson was replaced by Bakinson. NJ had the foresight to have 2 CB's on the bench, which seemed odd, but we needed them both. Kanu has established his starting place, and if we don't sell Leaburn in the summer we'll scare a lot of defences next season. Small, REG and Coventry were my 3 MOM's.
