No such hysterical nonsense from Brenda that day about how the game was being Refereed by VAR. It was also the same Referee as Sunday. Don Robertson.
He'd already signalled for the goal. No Celtic player were looking for any decision. Yet their old pal Alan Muir came to the rescue and advised Robertson to go to the VAR screen. Still beyond belief to this day that Robertson then chose to disallow the goal.
Alan Muir, the same slug that allowed an assault on young Ross McCausland to go unpunished on Saturday at Ibrox has been an unsung asset of Celtic for some time now.

Unlike Beaton who was publicly called out by name TWICE by Rodgers on TV after they lost to Hearts on Sunday and for the FIRST and ONLY time all season suffered a couple of controversial decisions go against them.
Of course had they dispatched the ridiculous penalty award they were given early on it may well have been a different story.

As expected, the Celtic PR machine targeted Beaton. Social media has been infested with scum claiming him to have an agenda against the club. This despite the fact that Beaton has shafted Rangers perhaps more than any other club in Scotland.

The online frenzy of abuse and more directed towards Beaton, driven by Rodgers though is quite sinister. Especially when you remember he had to seek out police protection a couple of years ago due to Celtic fans targeting his home and family.

Unlike Beaton of course, Alan Muir was subjected to no such hostility after he stepped in to shaft Rangers at Ibrox. Nor for that matter has the clown who was on VAR duties at Ibrox on Saturday.

Incidentally, Robertson was also advised to go to the VAR screen after he (wrongfully) sent off Dujon Sterling at Ibrox recently. He chose to disregard the video footage that showed it was no more than a yellow card offense and sent him off.
He could easily have done the same again and overruled Beaton on Sunday.
Why has little been said of this?

 

Alan Muir is the worst of the lot by the way.
