Can't find my post on here but I recall saying when Ipswich were still having a few dodgy results that they had a really good run of games coming up and had the opportunity to get back to winning ways. Think they've won every game since. They're certainly not falling away as many anticipated despite their one win in eight run.
If I was a neutral, I'd be really pleased for Ipswich - and be hoping that they manage to pull it off. I've never got onboard with this thought that they would drop away at some point - I didn't like it when other fans said that about us in 2011-12, so I was hardly going to start doing the same thing this year regarding Ipswich. They had a set of really difficult fixtures. And they duly struggled; but that is totally understandable. And with the lead which they had built up going into them, they could afford to do with so. Now those fixtures are out of the way, they've jumped straight back on the horse and the wins are flowing again. They have four matches before they host us. I wouldn't be surprised if they extend this five match winning streak into a nine match winning streak. And if they do so, their lead over us going into that game will be a minimum of eight points - and quite possibly more (albeit having played one more match than us). I wonder if this is the weekend where the remaining doubters accept that Ipswich are the real deal?
Sunderland right-back Trai Hume has picked up 10 yellows and will miss the games against Leicester and Saints. Dunno if he's any good, but he's started every game for Sunderland this season.
He made the WhoScored Championship team of the season last year, which is what Sky and some other outlets use. But then again, Manning also made it into that team - so it's usefulness is debatable! (Connor Roberts beat Hume in the PFA and EFL teams of the season.)
37 games Hume is playing tonight. Looks like he's on 9 yellows rather than 10. So potentially he might yet miss our game.
9 points on offer for our main competition tonight. Let’s hope some fail & they get less than the max. UTS.
It won't be leicester dropping any ! Reading the Sunderland match day thread, they think they are going to get hammered!
