Peppa is not old enough. Mummy Pig maybe... Basically I was saying City would be scared if they heard us play Peppa Pig theme after YNWA. (Meaning it would mean our cup winning kids would be coming on)...

Then as soon as I posted it deleted it because realized someone might interpret it as a pork-arab joke.(Not what I intended)

In hindsight in the future I'll just delete it and leave a blank post... That's safer. <laugh>

I think some senior players should be rested for City game.

    imo;

    a) endo is not muscular, it was a knock so if he is good to come on he is good to start

    b) nunez I heard it was an ankle knock not muscular as well so the same story applied. you can get a kick in the 1st or 91st minute.

    c) szobo is a hamstring so due caution has been applied.

    d) salah is like szobo.

I would half expect the same line up as per forest but I don't think it would be the right thing

    I would do this

    kelleher
    gomez quansah vvd Robertson
    Elliott endo macallister
    gakpo nunez diaz

    why?

First let's keep Bradley for city, we need a lot of energy to play doku

quansah in for exactly the same reasoning for konate

Elliott to rcm with another 30mins for szobo

salah to come in for gakpo.

I would not expose clark at this point to a hostile away crowd.

I think we are just getting there if we can play these 4 games and every player has the common sense to excuse themselves for the internationals thst would be most beneficial.

sparta twice is the fly in the ointment. a win away sets up loads of options at home.

city is by far the most critical game.

man utd away is a bad cup draw that's not wanted but what we have to cope with at the end of the run.

hopefully we can see trent and gravenberch also back after those internationals.

I went back to see what you’d originally written was was intrigued after your post about deleting as may be offs I’ve before I’d seen this and had absolutely no clue how would be deemed as that.

Makes sense now you say it but not sure anyone would have assumed it in that way tbf <laugh>

Yeah, I didn't understand what he was concerned about until he explained it. Don't think anyone would have even thought about it

apparently the city fans should be offended by any reference to pigs cos their owners are from a muslim country.

yes we shouldn't be offended by dolphin bothering.

I do think Gakpo needs a rest but I kind of hope he doesn't have to start against City so he should start this one.

Gakpo is better coming off the bench. When he comes off the bench he's full of energy, like he's out to prove the manager was wrong not to start him. When he does start, this aspect of his game disappears, it's like he's trying to preserve energy to last the game or becomes complacent having started.

Salah been called up for Egypt squad in 2 weeks for this meaningless mini ‘tournament’ they play against NZ.

Despite being injured and barely having played for us.

Feel like Salah needs to have a word but prob so much pressure on him to be there from a marketing point of view.

it's not even that. it's the fact he was injured and we were happy and then they went out of the afcon and he went home for treatment.
.they are punishing him for doing so imo.

I'd have thought Mo has a fair bit of influence in the Egyptian FA, given the high esteem in which he's held there. I imagine he's willing to go - it's we who suffer for it if he's not fully fit.
