According to the Electoral Commission, there are about 78,000 registered voters in Rochdale. On Thursday around 12,500 voted for George Galloway, a huge number by postal votes (I wager a lot of them Muslim women). So over 65,000 are now represented by a man who campaigned on one single issue to one single ethnic group in their community. I wonder what the newly elected MP has to say on the issue of grooming gangs targeting white girls in his constituency. At the General Election, the Israel-Hamas War will have no impact on the standard of living of the people of Rochdale.
