Coyle Greaves Slater Can't give a vote to Allsop because of the ****ing around at the back, even though he's only following instructions (that nearly cost us again and brought very few positives).. Don't think we've been anywhere near positive enough since Southampton, and today we massively overdid the ****ing about at the back. Draws that might have been wins if we'd been what Rosenior says he wants us to be (brave, exciting, positive, high energy, pressing).
You're right about Greaves. He's been ridiculously good the last month or so. Winning absolutely everything in the air and on the ground, and joining in the attack effectively too.
Greaves Outstanding yet again. Significant & consistent defending improvement since being on 10 yellow!!! Coyle Warhorse in the side, excellent effort Jones Really solid at the back Other defenders Giles & Allsop also did really well. WE missed a quality centre forward today that would have made the difference for a win. Good deserved point though away from home against an in form side.
Greaves, never missed a header all game Coyle, great captains effort, led by example Slater for his first half showing, really pit himself about
Greaves Slater Coyle Jones had a good game and Morton had a better game than the last couple. Too many of our much vaunted attacking players are not producing enough. Zaroury and Carvalho were poor today as was Omur when he came on. As for Sharp, surely he can’t be brought on again other than for a last throw of the dice in the last few minutes in the hope of getting on the end of something. Even if Ohio isn’t fully fit, he has to offer more than Sharp coming on with 20-30 minutes remaining.
I don't know why there's so much criticism of Sharp. He hasn't scored, but we've only had one goal in total from any of our strikers in the time he's been at the club; goalscoring clearly isn't an individual issue. He looks fit and mobile so I don't think his age should be a massive issue, and he obviously knows what he's doing in and around the penalty area better than anyone else in our squad. You'd be daft not to back him to finish if he did get a decent chance. Again, I really don't think the identity of our attackers on the pitch is the problem. Whoever is on, we struggle to find space in the areas that count, and that is the issue.
I don’t think he does look fit and mobile and certainly doesn’t seem to give the opposition centre half’s anything to worry about. The bigger issue to me is how often we get in promising situations, often through good build up play with some slick and clever passes and then one of our players gets a simple ball wrong. There were quite a few examples again today and it’s really frustrating. I’m sure Liam is equally perplexed about it. We’re close to being a very good team at this level but those are the things that are letting us down and it’s often our so called quality attacking players that are responsible. Hopefully, they start finding some better form soon.
He looks exactly what he is - a 38 year old who has kept himself in shape, who was a very good player but is now well past his sell by date at this level. Likely a cheap option but a waste of a place and money, same with Ohio given that Rosenior chooses not to play him. Sorry, but get real, what a **** up wasting 2 spaces like that ... and being all sentimental about Connolly who, surprise surprise, just isn't available anywhere near enough. It's 3 piss poor decisions when you stop and think about it. Please nobody say "yeah but remember Deano ....". Different times, different set up, lightening strikes, etc.
Five points for first choice, three for second, one for third. Greaves 128 Coyle 86 Slater 29 Allsop 13 Morton 6 Jones 5 Giles 2 Seri 1 Looking across all votes cast, how big a worry is it that none of the designated forward players picked up any votes?
