I get it. The result is vital. I’m looking at the overall victories by a single goal. Sooner or later we will get caught out when we shouldn’t. The second clear goal is the key to pulling away from 7th place.
It’s great to be involved around the top six instead of having nothing to play for, today watching it I was willing us on to win it but after 4 away wins and now a draw at a team competing for the top six then getting a point was a very decent result, they have been in great form, first half when in good area’s it was just that final ball or shot which let us Down, second we were under pressure but defensively very strong, going forward defensively we have to be strong because we do have the players who can make something out of nothing. 12 big games to go, none will be easy and you can’t take none for granted some will be decided by the odd goal, Another big week coming up with two home games let’s hope we perform and make the most of them. One negative for me is that we don’t make the most of free kicks and corners and basically that’s down to us been a small team, we just don’t have the height to cause other teams problems at set pieces. However in general play with on the ground football we are a very decent team which definitely at times could be better but overall we are in the top six for a reason, let’s hope we stay there. Keep the faith, I’m off for another gin and tonic.
I understand what you are saying, I said last week against West Brom we needed that second, 1.0 is never comfy but sometimes it ends up been a great result. I would love at games to be 3.0 up and know we have won it but unfortunately it’s never as easy as that. Any team which is only 1.0 up will get caught out. Norwich today was a prime example with a 1.0 result yet 3 points. Let’s hope going forward we win by a few goals but if not be very grateful for the odd goal win.
But again here you’re looking to put the blame on Rosenior. Is Corberan to blame for West Brom scoring one more goal than us? Is Robins for Coventry scoring two more?
Not been and done any studying but going on gut feeling alone this seems like the toughest year for ages to get promoted. The three relegated teams are in the top four and Ipswich are as freaky as we're Leicester when they won the PL. Then there are a whole bunch of teams in with a shout of 5th and 6th place. Will next season be any easier? Who knows but I think this season's got to be the hardest for years.
If LR has chosen to set us up this way, sign the players he has/not sign, play us without a striker and fails to get us creating and converting clear cut chances and it doesn't work then please..... Tell me who's fault that is if it isn't his? Yes as they are the manager / head coach.... Success or failure lands on the gaffer.
Hardest for autos probably, could say top 4. But the 5/6th place is absolutely wide open and any team that could pop a run together could easily make 5th their own quite easily as nobody seems to want so it. Plus I say it because of how good the vast majority of our squad is. As I say, we are just missing the most vital part and it's been obvious all season it's what we are missing
But only 5 teams have scored more than 3 more goals than us this season, the aforementioned top 4 and Norwich.. doesn’t that say something as well?
If we do end up selling Jadon and Greaves then I’d go and tempt DMAC with some £ for Poku and Edwards. Both are ready for the next division
I really couldn't care less about what other teams are or are not doing. The reason we aren't in a more comfortable position, the reason why we haven't got more points, the reason why we don't ( for the most part ) kill teams off, is because we don't create and convert enough clear cut chances.
And for those who dont believe what is being written... LR has admitted 'should have more points, should be scoring more goals'..
Agree. Sharp - mistake. Ohio - mistake (if he's not fit enough, not ready for Championship (Rosenior's words) and isn't played. Connolly - a decent player but again a mistake (one thing after another). See a theme. Could prove very costly.
