If he was fully fit, yeah. But midweek was his first game back. I'm guessing that Martin didn't feel him ready to start two games in quick succession.
Only reason I can think they didn’t was being happy with Meghoma being the back up in emergency and Manning playing every game because he clearly is someone Martin likes. Slight possibility that Perraud future is still unknown as well I suppose. If we go up he may return.
We didn't draw we won we're not 7 seven behind the tractor boys, never mind the negative would haves we ****ing won enjoy it and the rest of the season.
Not running away with it but they are still effectively 2 games ahead of second with their goal difference. That’s pretty comfortable with what 10 games left?
I thought Stephens played well today. Was really good at carrying the ball forward from deep. Played some really good balls through. I'd have him as back-up DM instead of Charles tbh.
What are you talking about? I was responding to Tom saying it was good we won as otherwise we wouldn’t have taken advantage of Leeds slip up. Was just pointing out that it’s now Ipswich who we are chasing and we would have been even further back from them if we had drawn
Am I the only one that enjoyed almost every minute of that game?, it was like a throwback to the Lawrie Mac days, we really should've scored 7 or 8 today. Makes a mockery of people saying that our attack is plodding, we haven't failed to score in the league since mid September.
While it's true the gap between us and 2nd is still 5 points, I'd much rather it be Ipswich than Leeds. The fact that Leicester lost as well today, the 4 of us are starting to bunch together. Game on.
Yep. Even when we weren't winning, it was still enjoyable. We played some great stuff going forward. But then again, I've resigned myself to the playoffs so I'm not getting as stressed as some people.
I’ll take solid but unspectacular at the moment from our LB! We should have enough attacking threat elsewhere on the pitch.
Yeah, Leicester are currently going through their tricky fixture list - and today was meant to be their "easy" one. When Ipswich had their tricky fixture list over December/January, I think they had QPR snuck in there half way through, and were lucky to escape with a draw. If we had managed four points from our two home games last week - which we should have got - the table would look even more ridiculous than it already does. Oh well.
We simply have to get 6 from our next 2 before our nice break. Can't afford to drop anything against Preston or a Clarke-less Sunderland at home. Then we have a very nice little break to get ready for the run in.
It was an absolutely fantastic game, the sort of game the championship is famous for. Amazing stuff, proper chuffed
Haven't seen any of it. I wish I'd been there. That's the entertainment I hoped for from the Championship Strange to say, but well done for enjoying it Some people seem to struggle with the concept of football being entertaining except when your team thrashes the opposition
