Don’t know WTF I have just been watching. It’s as if I had dozed off and woken up in the 1960s. Fantastic game for the neutral but heart thumping for the team’s fans.
Funnily enough we thought Leicester were unreachable but if we had maintained the unbeaten run for two more weeks we would probably have caught them by now.
If we had drawn we would’ve been 7 points back on Ipswich so autos well and truly over. The win gives us a slim chance
Totally underwhelmed by that result. We were so wasteful against 11 players, then so casual against 10. When we have a dodgy defence, why do we weaken it by switching Stephens and Harewood Bellis, so that neither are as effective as they could be. RM is deliberately putting us at a disadvantage from the kick off. This team in the PL would be a car crash. Fuming.
I do have sympathy for Martin on the Manning front. Because unless Larios ever becomes available again, the board have screwed him over by giving him Manning as his only senior LB. (And even Larios isn't senior!) It was so clearly a position to strengthen in January. Maybe he could give Meghoma ago. But he's largely untested, and Martin will have seen a lot of him in training. But things like messing around with THB, and not starting Charles when Downes is missing; that is all on Martin.
Must be the wrong thread mate!!!! We can do auto promotion yet. Too many forget the crazy end of a season. That win really does get the wheels back on!! If we can get through the first 30 min with everyone on the pitch fully awake and alert we’ll be ok in my view. Early stupid goals have got to be eliminated.
I imagine when KWP is back we might see a return to Bree at LB. Hope that’s on Wednesday night tbh (and that it doesn’t see THB dropped to the bench in favour of JS).
Need to win the next two home games before the 3 week break and then learn how to defend in that break.
I'm not Bree's biggest fan, but having him on the bench in order to play a CB out of position and a completely lost Manning is really very silly.
Well I was bloody telling everyone it was ridiculous calling them Champions in October. And again in November. December, Jan and Feb. Now people might actually agree with me.
That would be alright - but even that isn't great. Bree seems a solid but unspectacular. Will offer very little offensively, especially on his wrong foot. Albeit he might help us to improve our set piece delivery (if we were as dangerous as Arsenal at set pieces, we'd be one heck of a side). Whether permanently or on loan, we so should have recruited a LB in January.
