OMG - its been neck deep in Schuey this, Schuey that all season. And now we're regurgitating MORE Schuey this Schuey that before 2012 cars are even fully designed.. Christ get a life - or a new subject.
i think this is ridiculous, it looks like rosberg is going to be first driver next year (again) and so he will have more input in the car. another thing is that the chasis design has changed a lot over the years so just because he sis great work in 05 amd 06 it doesnt necessarily mean that the car will be up there for next year. mercedes havent even caught up this year, how do you exopect one man to push the development so that it gets to the level of mclaren, redbull and ferrari who will all be pushing themselves??
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/23112011/58/brawn-open-extending-schumacher-deal.html Looks like Brawn is wanting Schumacher to stay after the 2012 season. Mercedes have done very well in the 2nd half of the season, both drivers maintaining top6 places nearly every race, they just need a better car.
Hmm, I can't help feeling MSC is holding Rosberg back. Everyone knows Rosberg is the better driver but the team feel obliged to curtail to MSC's demands. Not sure if this still extends to fixing Rosberg's contract like other MSC's team-mates but it must compromise the team.
Hahahaha. 7 point difference compared to last years (around 60), Rosberg 5 DNF's - Schumacher 7 DNF's, but MSC has the highest points finish for Mercedes. Dear me. Schumacher's value goes far beyond his driving. He brings enormous attention to the sport, and his team specifically. He sells tickets - compare the renewed attendance figures since his return. He's pretty close to Nico and has shown the ability to out-race him, so why not keep him? Both drivers are fairly on par, which shows the car is not a race winner - if and when it is, and Michael can't get the results, then they could cut him loose. Right now, getting rid of him to replace him with a younger guy would accomplish little, and lose his years of experience and media attention, as well as a high amount of intelligence.
Eternal, got to say I admire your loyalty. MSC has been pretty disgraceful since his return. I was never his biggest fan but in the last 2 years he has been shown up for what he really is. It's the first time I think he has had a fellow german as a team-mate. Poor Irvine and Barrichello who never stood a chance. Rosberg has the clout to stand up to him and refuse to be given a slower car though that unfortunately for Rosberg may change as Mercedes look to justify the money they pay to MSC. MSC for the first time in his career has been shown up for what he is. An average driver with a brutish win-at-all-costs mentality even if that means putting other drivers lives at risk or running them off the road aka Hill and Villeneuve.
Im looking forward to schumi in 2012. He's had enough wins and titles, but a podium would a great moment and if he improves as much in 2012 as he has this year then its very possible.
I'm not a Schuey fan but you are so wrong on all accounts. He has talent, maybe not the best driver ever in F1 but certainly one of the elite.
I think every contributor to a public forum should remember that it is a public debate unless conducted via the Personal Message facility. Every time one writes in public debate, it is there for everyone to discuss. That is the very nature of debate. Sub-debates are still part of it until the participants choose to use the PM facility. For instance, I have responded here because I saw a public comment directed at someone in the debate, which is also open to me. If you do not want others to join in Eternal, you could use the PM system.
I am in a direct "debate" with you, not with Bergy... having two users (one which has only two words to say), is not helpful.
