Not relevant to this game, but this situation still needs looking at withVAR. When a non-red is overturned into a red by VAR the subsequent play still counts too, even though in theory it shouldn’t as the red card should end the phase of play. The example I always go back to is Bertrand v Leicester in the 0-9. Retrospectively sent off after goal 1 is scored, but if it’s a red card challenge the goal shouldn’t have been scored.
This would be a bad scoreline if they still had 11 men, when you consider our volume of chances. Let alone against 10 men.
