Just got this beauty sent home to me yesterday. I've been waiting 1 month! "Custom made", although XL is kinda like XXL in Sweden. Cost me around 30 quid. Amazes me how classy it feels compared with "todays" shirts. No annoying sponsor. Simply clean and legit It's the shirt from 1975-1980. Glad you like it Febbo - but being old enough to remember that shirt well I'm not the biggest fan of them. Conversely I do like the modern kits, sponsors and all.
How come? It's perfect Although the collar is a tad big if we are going to be picky. Today's shirts miss the genuineness in general.
some will disagree but for me it's our 1st season in PL shirt... I love umbro and for me they got everything spot on. the stripe number and size, the cut, the details like "the tigers" on the inside and even the sponsor looked good.
This is one thing we should take from the NFL were some teams play in throwback uniforms a game or two each season, would love City to wear a 70's style kit possibly at a game over xmas/new year as a 3rd kit and make it available as a limited edition shirt for xmas
Am desperate for the adidas 1980-82 kit..alas even the biggest web sites for such things have e mailed me to say they cant get their hands on one!(l or xl in case one of u guys are willing to sell?!!)
febbos, where on earth did u get a shirt custom made for around 30 quid? hull city shop wanted 15 quid just to post 2 shirts to holland from hull!!!
http://www.toffs.com/Hull-City/products/637/ The shirt Febbos posted is made by TOFFS (the old fashioned football shirt) they have a few city shirts. I have a couple meself and they last much longer than your typical modern replica.
