RW Watch Fabrizio Romano says we're scouting Roony Bardghji, who has told Copenhagen he has no interest in renewing his contract which expires in December 2025 Are the club copying my other FM regen strategy that is having Scandinavian scouts trawl the Danish and Swedish leagues for potential wonderkids that can be signed for chickenfeed?
I still have no idea if it's a loan that will now become a transfer or something entirely different. Very strange one, though a fee of €4m seems to be fairly consistent.
The fact that the clause says the loan would become permanent after three games is odd, as he's played more than that - unless the wording was starting three games, of course
I doubt we’ll announce any more on Dier to be honest, there was already quite a big farewell on social media after the loan announcement, it’d feel weird if there’s then a secondary farewell. Surprised and happy for him at how much he’s already played for Bayern though. Thought he’d get like 1-2 appearances off the bench all season but he’s started 4 or 5 games already and played in 1 or 2 others. A pity for him and Kane though that it looks like there’ll be no Bundesliga title, you’ve really gotta start wondering if Kane especially is the unluckiest great player on the planet, joining them in the one season they don’t win it is just brutally bad luck, especially as individually he’s on course to possibly break Lewandowski’s season record. Madness lol.
Bayern paid the loan fee and that was that for him at Spurs. There’s no need for the club to say anymore which sounds harsh but that’s how it is I guess. He’ll always be welcome back to watch games etc.
On the other hand you'd expect Bayern to announce it, but only their mouthpieces Falk and Plettenberk have confirmed it
Might be an end of season thing, similar with us announcing a second departure for Dier, it may look a bit weird if Bayern announce Dier’s permanent signing just over a month of signing him on loan.
He played another 90 minutes, as Bayern ****ed it up, again. Went behind early, took the lead late, then subbed on Upamecano for Musiala and drew. https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...s-in-volley-to-level-it-against-bayern-munich Dier had a very nice view of it though, to be fair.
It's frankly remarkable how Tuchel has managed to make de Ligt, Upemecano and KMJ all look average this season
Upamecano look dreadful. Their defensive unit looks immense on paper, but they've been a shambles recently.
I'm still none the wiser about the terms, to be honest. Permanent? Extended loan? No idea. Clear as mud.
The most likely answer is he signed a fulltime contract on arrival, much like Romero and Kulusevski (and I believe Porro) did when they arrived on loan on the expectation it would be made permanent so may as well get the paperwork sorted upfront
Loan from who? He has no contract with us post the end of this season so has to be a perm (I.e. only one year) signing surely?
I have no idea, to be honest. It was initially announced as a loan, but it may just be details of his contract with them.
Eze's name has come up in the last week - but the Mansourites are heavily linked with him too, because of course they are
Maddison knows him from England duty. Eze replaced him on his debut. No idea why the other players look so familiar with him, though. Maybe just non-football stuff? I'm sure there's some lipreaders out there that can tell us what he said...
He shares the same agency - CAA Base - as Maddison and Son (plus a few others here) and I’ve read the club has a good relationship with them but naturally no idea if that actually counts for anything with regards to that convo. I hope they’re trying to tap him up though, think he’s class, as is his mate, Olise.
