I did the maths and Forest could still overtake us in the league (only on goal difference) but they are out of the race for the title. Because in order to catch us that means we would have to lose every game so that implies City and Arsenal both beating us which would put them both over the highest score Forest could possibly get. Everton and Brentford could still win the title however. On goal difference. It is now impossible for us to be relegated however without a points deduction.
I must admit that when I first joined this forum I never anticipated debating the ethics of sex with aquatic mammals.
Well, a gorilla learned sign language, so we're probably closer to getting consent from them if aquatic mammals make you uneasy. Then of course there is also this.
CHRIS SUTTON'S PREDICTION.COMFORTABLE AWAY WIN. Nottingham Forest v Liverpool There's been lots of praise for Liverpool's young players this week, and rightly so after the way they played in the Carabao Cup final and then beat Southampton in the FA Cup. It's been an excellent week for Jurgen Klopp, with the first trophy of the season under his belt and then seeing his side keeping alive the possibility of winning four of them this season. It would get even better if the likes of Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo are fit enough to play in this game, and I feel like Liverpool are going to be hard to stop here. Forest were unlucky to go out of the FA Cup to Manchester United on Wednesday but they have got some work to do to get to safety in the league, especially with a possible points deduction looming, that could be announced next week. I keep hearing how Nuno Espirito Santo's side are much-improved in an attacking sense. They may well have done, but it has not translated into results because they have only won once this year, and I don't see them getting another one on Saturday. We are now into the run-in to the end of the season and Liverpool have already shown a great habit of finding a way to win games in recent weeks. They are riding on the crest of a wave at the moment so this one might be a bit more straightforward. Sutton's prediction: 0-2 Sam's prediction: Forest are going to get an absolute doing. I see Liverpool showboating and bossing it possession-wise. 0-3 Ross's prediction: Yep, Forest are going to get smashed. 1-4 JONES KNOWS BEST HAS GONE FOR AWAY WIN TOO. Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool, Saturday 3pm - PLAY SUPER 6 HERE! Seriously, how good is Virgil van Dijk? There's been talk of the midfield revamp being the key to Liverpool's improvement this season but I think it's all about Van Dijk being back to his imperious best. He can take on any striker for pace or power one-on-one - and win that battle. As seen through the fact he's only been dribbled past once in 24 Premier League games this season, the best record of any outfield player in the league. Reds face April fixture pile-up & when could re-arranged Everton game be? Liverpool, Arsenal or Man City? Three-way title race analysed Since the start of the 18/19 season, Liverpool's win percentage with him starting is 73 per cent and just 51 per cent without him. That's from a sample size of 216 games. And they've lost just one game in the Premier League at Anfield from 86 matches with him in the starting XI. Silly numbers. And punters have started to realise he's a real runner for this year's PFA Player of the Year - an award he won in 2019. please log in to view this image Play Video - Van Dijk's late heroics win Carabao Cup for Liverpool Highlights from the Carabao Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool. If Liverpool are to win the league, which currently stands at about 30 per cent probability, then Van Dijk at this stage is their standout player as the forward line are sharing the goals out this season. The 50/1 on his chances of landing the award are long gone but Sky Bet are still 12/1 in the market. I'd argue if you fancy Liverpool to win the Premier League at 23/10, then you should back Van Dijk at 12/1 too. He can keep another clean sheet this weekend in what should be a comfortable afternoon for the title chasers. SCORE PREDICTION: 0-3
