Sunderland are hopeful of signing Swedish youngster Robert Mirosavic, who has returned to the north-east for the second time for talks with the club.
The Helsingborg forward made a good impression on the Black Cats' boss Steve Bruce after training with the club recently.
Bruce now hopes he can ward off other clubs, including Arsenal, as he strives to get Mirosavic to sign a deal.

could Mirosavic link up with Sweden's Sebastian Larsson?
The starlet can play up front or out wide, impressing scouts from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea by scoring 49 goals in 45 games for Helsingborg's youth team in the 2010-11 season.
The Gunners were rumoured to be interested in signing him in February but nothing materialised and Bruce is looking to capitalise.
Mirosavic could link up at the club with his compatriot Sebastien Larsson, who has impressed for Sunderland this season.

We have a **** load of young strikers on the books do we need one more

So he made an impression, what about the other one..(think there was two)

Ok for the future, but need to concentrate on the present more so.

Really dont see what all the outcry is about, we still cant buy one for the present until January anyway, N,ot sure if he can sign before January or not, but if he can or cant, we still cant get an experienced striker till January regardless.

If in February we still havnt bought a striker and just got this youngan, then play hell, but to do so before xmas is just a touch silly if you ask me.

Skysports.com understands a host of English clubs are chasing Northern Ireland hot-shot Rory Donnelly.

The 19-year-old, who plies his trade for Cliftonville, is regarded as one of the best talents to emerge from Northern Ireland in recent years.

The prolific striker has netted 10 goals in 14 appearances this season, including a four-goal haul in a 7-3 win over Ballymena United last weekend.

Donnelly's performances have alerted scouts from Premier League and Championship sides from England with Cliftonville unlikely to stand in his way if a firm offer comes in for his services.

Sunderland, Birmingham and Burnley are all believed to be keeping tabs on Donnelly as they weigh up moves for the Northern Ireland Under 21 international.

Peterborough and Brentford are both believed to have tabled offers for Donnelly and the striker is expected to make the move to England in the New Year if one of his suitors agree a deal with Cliftonville
