I understand why Tarbs was dropped and I agree we've played well without him. But with Barton suspended and possible injuries to the strikers and you wouldn't even consider him?? It wasn't that long ago he first name on the team sheet. Adel has had a couple of bad games but has shown he can play at this level, Buzsaky has not. I think people are getting far too carried away with his dip in form.
I agree Taarabt brings more to the table than Buz but he just seems to have a negative impact on the rest of them. When he plays every attack goes through him which was fabulous last year when we lacked a spark elsewhere but I think the team overall would play better with Buz than Taarabt as it stands, especially in a 4-4-2. Given the lack of numbers we have available, we might as well put him on the bench and give him 20 mins if we're looking out of it, but he can only really play one way and if he's not on it we'll suffer badly, as we've seen.
Who didn't no one turned up at Fulham or the 1st half against Spurs, before that he was as consistant as any of the midfield,
I would like to see Perone given a chance as a holding midfielder as having seen him close up I agree with what is being said about him in the game he has great promise it's a case of adjusting to premiership . I thought he was good against Wigan and did little wrong ... He can sit there all day and his distribution is good neat and tidy ... In the air looks good as well and seems to have a very good engine to boot ... Overlooked if he is fit hope Colin gives him a nod as he was quoted as saying he was at fault for goals Wigan scored not IMO
Warnock won't tinker too much with a winning side so I think it'll be Derry for Barton and possibly Bothroyd for Hill although the 4-2-3-1 may prevail. The subs in this game could prove crucial and I think if we're chasing the game in the last 25 minutes or so then Adel will be unleashed...
A straight swap between Barton and Derry is obvious. But it will decrease our creativity considerably, every stat supports it. I liked the balance to our side against Stoke, i'm just worried Derry for Barton will hamper our attacking threat. To counter this Adel is a possibility with Traore reverting to left back, then againg this will leave us vulnerable on the left. For me it's a predicament, hopefully not for Warnock
granted but how much better was the team in the second half. i take it you did not see the blackburn game, he was awful in that! and tbh verses chelsea he was chasing shadows worse than anyone else in our side.
I thought he had a good game against Chelsea. He was superb at Everton and it'll have done him a lot of good to not play for a few weeks I'd imagine.

If Taraabt was to return, then against teams like (no offense) Norwich he can shine as he has already proven it. Its against bigger teams he has been, well, non-existent
I agree. Anyone seriously considering Buzsacky ahead of Dezza needs their head examined (Watford). They guy is a waste of space.
So why else was he dropped? He had some poor performances and has been dropped. Three/four poor games and then dropped for the next two. If Barton was not suspended he would not start on Saturday. I hope he finds his early season form like the ever ton game I really do as he was immense last season and personally my player of the year.
Because, by luck or judgment, Warnock stumbled on playing 4 in midfield and it worked well. Derry's performances have been perfectly acceptable but in a 4-4-2 he's not as good as Faurlin or Barton. Derry's not done a lot wrong at all, we just look a much better team in a formation which doesn't suit him as much as the other two.
I would sincerely like to see Taarabt given another chance to work his magic and produce some wonder goals that we all enjoyed & appreciated last season. If his introduction doesn't seem to be working, pull him off at half time and put on Derry. I feel he has something to prove and we have already seen glimpses of his potential in games earlier this season.
Or another way of looking at it is we look a better side without him in it . I admire the effort he has put in in the last 18 months but in those last few games he played the signs were there that he was struggling , lets hope he puts in an everton like performance tomorrow and not a blackburn one.
