Mate. Big love for the sentiment. Respect. my wife can’t give blood anymore since she had a Caesarian but I wave the flag for the family instead. Just dropped donation 33 and I’m aiming for 50 which is well doable. I did it originally to impress my wife.. seriously.. as she was a regular.. but then it got real after Bairn 1 was born and then, as you know me it became a numbers game. I just wanna do me bit.
Not allowed as far as I was told as I was born with jaundice and needed treatment. Still thought the Hancock blood donor episode was absolutely brilliant. With a nod in the direction of Hamish for his countryman’s contribution.
I do when I can back in the UK and have been on a Red Cross AB- blood call list here for the last 20years . Its extremely rare in Asians so when they do need it for an operation I get called to go down and donate. No idea how much I have given as they don't give stamps like in UK.
Me - on somewhere between 25 and 30 donations currently. I'm A- so not quite as rare as Jak, but still fairly rare (6-8%) plus my platelets can be used by any blood group for operations etc, so figured I'd do the decent thing and hoping karma will kick in if ever needed. I'm also on the bone marrow donor list
My fiance does it, in Norway they give you a cup with a unique design on it every single time. A cartoon character doing a random thing. You're meant to collect the set, cupboards getting jam packed
that will pique obi’s interest I’m sure. he would be allowed to give multiple pints in sure. if Tony gave blood then his arm look like the a dot to dot puzzle if he’s hungover with the shakes.
I tried once but they told me I couldn't cos I'd recently had a tattoo done, so meh never bothered after that.
After tattoo you just need to wait a few months mate. They will let you donate now. I’m covered so have had to work the timings well at times.
