I love click baiting hacks I'm going to predict this is posted within the next 4 hours here Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino's future is uncertain after his side's Carabao Cup final loss to Liverpool, with Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim a potential replacement. I mean really, could you be any more brazen about chasing clicks.
Just seen the (lazy) rumour of Bayern being interested in Robbo... Would you sell? He's 29 now and it would fit the 'buy low, sell high' approach too
I'm not too pushed about this story. I would really wonder if robbo would have any interest in having to put up with a jinx like kane. The question in my mind is who is available today? Beck - age 21. went right back to Scotland and took back over where he left off playing all the time. 2 goals, 4 assists in 24. Doing well. Chambers - age 19. gone to wigan and played 10 games in a row for them. Playing at CB (makes more sense to me personally) has 2 assists as well. (will have a league cup medal as he played 1 minute in the comp yay) Scanlon - age 19 (just turned 19 this month) signed from birmingham last year. Looks a decent option to me. The obviously tsimikas who can kick a ball about if not stoned. Personally I'd be happy to keep this senior leadership group player rather than cash in if he is happy as we have the players coming up to wait on.
You can pretty much ignore any link of us for players for next 4 months as given we have no sporting director or manager behind this season, no idea who is deciding what players we’ll be buying. And think it’s pointless talking about who may or may not go as again, no idea who manager is going to be let alone whether current players will fit their profile they want / player wants out etc. Cant see the benefit in manager coming in making massive changes to what is a pretty successful team. I’m sure they’re better placed than me but I’d prob want a settled side to stay together to help me get my feet under the table if I was new manager. Imagine coming in to replace best manager in 50 years and then selling all the fans fav players. You’ll be under pressure to win every game
I wasn't discussing the story, more the idea of Robbo moving on at this time. His value is only going to go down now so if we wanted to cash in, the time is now. Not sure how much we could get for him. Also agree with @InBiscanWeTrust though, no manager and sporting director means nothing will happen any time soon
I think you have a problem . But bring up a good point we have quite a few players where we might consider cashing in people like Roberston, VVD and Salah as there values are only going to drop.
shanks to Paisley Paisley to ***an ***an to Dalglish it's.possible to replace klopp. it will just be different its also very possible to stick in a sourness or Hodgson
Paul Joyce tweeting that Michael Edwards would consider a move back to Liverpool but would want full control. I haven't seen the tweet, just watched a short video from a fan channel.
I think they're was definitely a conflict and I don't like the idea of someone having full control; all parties should agree otherwise it doesn't go through
Obviously a fantastic player, but every player has a price. If Bayern want to make it silly, yes. If not, I see no reason to sell.
There's no way I'd be selling Virgil atm. I see no reason to sell players whilst their value is high - we're not a feeder club and we're not desperately short of cash. We're a top club, we should sell players only when they're no longer of use and we have a better option.
Maybe, maybe not - but I was responding to a discussion suggesting what we should do, not what we think the owners will do. Anyway, the best way to make money is through continued success, and you do that by having the best players on the pitch, not money in the bank. Man Cheaty haven't become the powerhouse they are through financial prudence.
