Usually, a decent young player breaks through and gets a chance in the first team on their own. The current crop all making the break through together and playing in the first team together as got to make it a bit easier for them, they can relate with each other whilst trying to overcome new hurdles and handle the attention etc.

It'll ne U18s so i doubt koumas would btu Nyoni and danns might

Its away to leeds and the reward is a home tie v mill wall to get to the final.

the line up last time out:

    Misciur
    Davidson,Pinnington, Nallo, Pitt,
    Laffey, Morrison, Nyoni;
    Kone-Doherty Danns, Koumas

If fit everyone bar koumas ought to play i suppose. Figueroa or Ahmed might play a lot of players might pay i guess.

I picked clark, quansah and I picked harvey davies

Hes done ok at crew but was treated poorly by thier fans and dropped out for 8 games. There has to be a 75% of games or theres a fee clause as he has played exactly 75% of games up to now but their other keeper did get injured and has been out.

26 games, 7 clean sheets, 35 goals conceded. since he's been put back in they have climbed back up the league 2 table and are within striking distance of automatic promotion spot and are ahead of the streaming sensations wrexham.

Hopefully he stays in and comes back for preseason along side pitaluga as two genuine options next season when we sell Kelleher for 40mil.

Morton has also done really well again. Has to be worth 10mil now. (or would be in pre ffp panic times) played 28 game sin championship, scored 3 and 4 assists from no 6 position. Not too shabby at all.

Obviously none of us want Klopp to go, but these young players will be part of his legacy. He in part helped them get to where they are now and developed them. I don't want Klopp to go for the obvious reasons, but also because I wish he was around to reap the rewards that these young players that he has cultivated have in promise to them.

I really hope that whoever comes in next does as good a job at making these youngsters part of the squad and premier-league ready. I'd hate for a new manager to come in and let-down these youngsters, let them become the next Gerrards and Fowlers not the next Nemeths, Mellors, or Lindfields.

why would fsg invest 10 years in a strategy of youth value and chuck it all in the bin.

whoever the next manager is the transfer approach to value and your development won't change.

They're part of his legacy regardless. It's up.to.the next manager how effectively they are utilized

Totally agree, but then they also appointed Woy and Comolli, plus they yes l tried to join a super League and have been rather tight fisted over the years too so not exactly in touch with football it seems

Can't really blame them for Woy. They inherited Woy and sacked him a few months after taking over.

Comolli... Maybe, although Comolli wasn't really as bad as people give him the notoriety of being. We got Henderson out of Comolli, and although he bought several expensive (for the time) players that didn't mesh, we made a profit overall from players he signed... How much of that profit we put back into players and how much went in their pockets I don't know.

The super league is all them. They take full blame for that.

Hendo was one of about 12 though <laugh>

FSG making off field decisions is fine, they're very good on the commercial side.

I don't like them making decision that effect on the pitch, that includes the sporting director and manager positions

Yes, and I hope they don't suddenly get more hands-on with Klopp gone. Klopp had them under control in that respect.

no Mike Gordon is left to make those calls as thr yanks in Boston know they shouldn't.

    they've 14 years of learning.

they tried the old veteran to get by. they tried the young upstart. they cleaned every incompetent out and got klopp in.

this academy has taken Alex ingelthorpe 10 years to get to this point with the coaches linking first and academy and the seniors moving to Kirkby etc. the kids being signed are all long term stuff thst nothing to do with klopp.

they pulled Gordon out to make the partial sale and stuck him straight back in. it will be down to Gordon to get the technical director and manager.

this long terms strategy cannot be thrown out like other clubs do.
