Moments where we were very good. Moments where we showed we deserve to be where we are.

Can't be too down about that. Now onto the league. Shea in for smallbone would be great. Fingers crossed kwp is not too crocked

Oh well. Fantastic first half, some odd subs.

    Roll on Rooney’s Birmingham.

My Nan instead of Smallbone. And she’s been dead years.

I thought Charles was our best player. And Rothwell looked better than he has done previously (not hard).

Decent first hour. Rank final 30 minutes.

Given that pace was our outball and what was creating our chances, they should have been the replacements for Sulemana and Edozie really. No pressure on them. We lost 3-0 anyway. It was comfortable for Liverpool in the end but by far the worst thing to happen was the injury to KWP. If he’s out for any length of time we can kiss goodbye to any chance we might have had of clawing our way back into the auto race.

If you miss 6-7 really good chances you have no chance
Played well for 60 minutes and then ran out of steam completely and the subs were poor

Credit to Saints supporters. A pity the players didn’t turn up as well.

First half it was ours for the taking. Start of the second half we could have got all square but then we lost control of the ball and couldn’t get any momentum back.
Young team or not they are still quality.

    Bit Jekyll and Hyde tbh.

Fantastic first half, but finishing was absolutely dire and I thought the capitulation in the last 20 mins might have thrown away any confidence gained.

Also KWP, so we are worse off than when we started.

    Meh.

Charles was excellent, which makes it incredibly annoying that he’s been effectively ignored.

Looking forward to his absence from the team against Birmingham with Smallbone at DM.

Old Trafford is where Liverpool's FA Cup.adventure ends as Manchester United's name is already etched in on the trophy. I know MU have been awful, but despite being poor, they do win trophies as in 1990, 2016, 2019!!

Maybe relative. But what did we see after he left the pitch, not sure we even got into their area

Aribo MotM first half. Charles second half despite the miss.

Hopefully KWP not too bad. Got a nice three week rest coming up soon. Bree being back is a relief.

Great 1st half performance. Second overwhelmed.

Just gutted for the youngsters. At least it's good to see Liverpool bringing some young English talent through.
