The europa was always the one I was looking at this season. Carabao cup came into my thinking in December, purely because it wouldn't affect the europa. The other two, frankly it's amazing that we even still have a genuine shot at them both.
IN the league we have a 33% shot. Theres 3 sides in it. We have the points i nthe bag. We have played a lot of the tougher games already. If you look at the games left seriously. Forest (a) City (h) Everton (a) Brighton (h) Sheff utd (h) Man utd (a) Palace (h) Fulham (a) west ham (a) Spurs (h) Villa (a) Wolves(h) We have 3 top 6 games, 2 at home. Can't ask for more. we have 6 bottom half games and are nearly perfect in those. So we have 3 top half teams Villa, brighton and west ham as the toughies. 20% is too pessimistic. City need to beat us. We don't actually need to beat them if the team comes together for the rest. the issue is if city do win then the odds fall apart. The issue is all the injuries now and 2 games a week. Putting off the everton game (se below) will actually help us.. look at the europa league rivals and our draw. Sparta Prague v Liverpool Marseille v Villarreal - Tight tie Roma v Brighton & Hove Albion - Benfica v Rangers -Benfica to cruise into QF SC Freiburg v West Ham United - West ham probabaly. Sporting CP v Atalanta - Another tight tie. Milan v Slavia Prague - I fancy Slavia more Qarabağ v Bayer Leverkusen - Against xabi's team to win Our direct opponent finished only 2nd to rangers. If we don't win that tie something is badly wrong (injuries) the second leg is at anfield. ANFIELD I would expect the QF to be LFC Marseille Roma Benfica West ham Sporting Slavia Bayer A good set of 8 but we stand head and shoulder there. ESP with anfield in our pocket. Seriously there's not a club there that would be favourites against us if both clubs have their best teams out. Even Xabi's lot. I think we will be in the final but who else is anyones guess. Esp if we eliminate the best over two legs. We've a major shot here. I'd be disappointed with anything but a win given where the final is and having anfield with us. Dublin will be a sea of red. Its anfield red AND hopefully klopp last game. the FA cup is only going to last 8 stage. We are not even in that yet. coventry Leicester Newcastle (useless) Man City LFC or southampton (we are favourites despite all injuries i guess) chavs or leeds (chelsea favourites despite 120mins in their team?) Forest or man utd (man utd will be favourites wolves or brighton (can't call this) So if you've a Qf line up of LFC Chelsea Man Utd Man city newcastle Brighton (guess) and then two odds and sods I think a lot of luck and a home draw is required to progress so our odds right now are 1 in 12. (theres 12 teams left in it as of now.) When the draw for the 6th round is made we will know more. any away tie will be tough for us If we win v southampton the reward is putting the Everton merseyside derby off on the 16th and playing the FA cup QF. With the injuries we have that should be incentive enough for the reserves to go win. one more league game played later when we have more bodies fit (i hope)
I think the fact that we have so many injuries, are tired from playing in four competitions, drops our share of that three way split a little. Yes, we beat Chelsea (after extra time) with a bunch of kids and reserves but they're in the lower half of the table. As a league game, without the extra time, that would have been two points dropped. I think 20% chance is realistic. Maybe that percent will rise higher if players return from injuries while we're still on top.
We need to win, not even draw against City to have a chance, as apart from against us I can see zero chance of them dropping points unless they get a really, really tough draw in the CL (who though? Real, perhaps?). And against us, getting our excuses in early, we'll still have Ally, Trent, Jones, Jota and Gravenberch all to with injuries. I'd take a draw right now, but that would mean winning every other game. We often drop points at home to Spurs, we've got United and Everton away, both teams that we've dropped vital points in title run-ins before, and obviously we have Villa away in our penultimate game. But, hey ho, Never thought we'd still be in the mix for the actual title itself at the start of the season (I'd have bitten your hand off for 4th and a CL spot). Still think it's City's to lose though.
He's turning out to be a really special player, who gives everything. So hardworking and forward thinking. I'd like to see him add some more goals to his game and provide the opposition with yet another threat. We're getting goals from everywhere this season and it's great to see.
Gosh, can you imagine how quickly she would be "cancelled" today if she released that video? All by white people, Asians probably wouldn't be offended themselves. Makes me think of this video: There's a similar video with him dressed up as a stereotypical Mexican. All the Americans getting offended, but the actual Mexicans all loved it. He did another one dressing up as a Native American... in that case Native Americans were offended. Probably because it's a rawer nerve with Native Americans being overly exploited. All the other similar videos to this though people of other cultures LOVE that their culture was being recognized rather than being offended. Anyhow, all that to say "Japanese Boy" would absolutely be cancelled today by all the millenial and Gen Z white people who have been taught to think it's offensive.
