RIP Stanley Bowles, loved to watch him play he was a one off and his autobiography should be compulsory reading for football fans its fantastic.
Him, Rodney Marsh and Frank Worthington.(and to a lesser extent Alan Hudson) were Mercurial talents - totally wasted by several England managers and an establishment for which flamboyant skill was anathema.
Not sure if it's true, when Bowles played one of his games for England, Ramsey told him if it's not going well he would pull him off at HT, Bowles replied that sounds good as they only get oranges at QPR
Also after Sunderland had one the FA cup they had it on show at Roker park , QPR were warming up and Stan had a bet with another QPR player that he couldn't hit the cup fron the centre spot , needless to say he won and nearly caused a riot

Can't imagine a stuffed shirt like Ramsey taking that well which could be why Bowles only played a handful of games for England
I have heard the first one applied to another player, but it fits so well for Bowles.
Used to love watching him play.
My brother is a massive QPR fan and we used to go to a game every now and again. Him and Worthington were such wonderful players to watch. Sadly missed...

And why the Cowboys, of all teams?...although if anyone can explain how all those NFL teams are worth so much, that;d be great
I'm assuming it's because they have not one but two stadiums they can rent out for concerts, WrestleManias and other assorted eventsAnd why the Cowboys, of all teams?
