Decent read, but long: The Durban Years: What happened the last time Sunderland attempted the ‘youth model’? https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...ast-time-sunderland-attempted-the-youth-model
Electricity and gas coming down 12% ( from the spring, when it has less effect on their income because guess what - we don't buy as much) But Ofgem ( who we were told were a regulator to look after the consumer), have told them they can put another 12.6% on the daily charge. No explanation or justification for the daily charge further increase - therefore we can only summize it's to keep the profit flow up. In further news, Ofgem have told them to add a further sum to the bills of people who pay, to cover the £3billion bills of those who are behind in payments. So the billions of profit made in last couple of years are of course theirs to enjoy. I have written to Ofgem to ask when I should cancel my DD so that I too may have my bill covered by others. I'll let you know the reply (if I get one ) - I guarantee it will be a load of deflectory non information in a way a politician would be proud of
British Gas profits were announced last week and there's a tenfold increase. In 2022 they made (only) £72m. In 2023 it jumped to £751m and they made a pay-out of £144m to shareholders. The energy crisis is all down to the war in Ukraine though, nothing to see here.
It’s just so blatant . We were told Ofgem were on our side- but as a govt dept they are encouraging and instructing the companies to suck our money from our pockets .
So the 13 mile Morpeth to Ellingham a1 widening has finally been given the go ahead. 2/3 years work will mean 12/13 years to complete the 6 year completion promised by Cameron/Osborne late 2014. Also promised by them was that the £290 million pounds had been set aside and was there waiting to be spent. Apparently though , the cost is now being provided from the HS2 savings. Claiming the browney points twice over and the local MP is swooning over how brilliant the govt are to get it going , instead of asking where the original money is.
Lambton Lion Park, 1974, in the days before Health & Safety. Wonder how many "no win, no fee" claims would be going in nowadays....
Very true, some madman is driving an Austin Allegro ... ... they were so bad I'm amazed people could get insurance.
Haha...I was gonna mention the Allegro, they were really bad. It might still be there... Looks like a Marina in front as well.
Just parked up in a supermarket carpark. See two dickheads park in a parent and child space with no child.
Am I the only one who thinks the quickest way to end the war in Gaza, and therefore the suffering of their people, would be for the Hamas leaders to surrender and release the hostages?
Winds me up this. Anyone who has tried to get young children, especially babies still in a car seat out of a car will tell you got **** all to do with the location of the space it's the wider space to open the door fully you park there for.
Yep, been there myself mate. Trying to get the bairn in and out of the car without the extra space is a nightmare. These two yesterday, big 4X4, he was clearly in love with himself and she had the standard yoga pants up her arse crack. You know the kind of couple I'm on about, phones in hand at the ready for the selfie in tesco.
It sounds good , but Hamas probably happy to sacrifice the people under Israel attack in order to keep their support from the others who would help them against Israel.
I’ve seen ( as everyone prob has) , the able bodied using disabled places even when in some car park layouts there are normal places actually closer to the entrance. As if it’s showing off “ look at me daring to do this , I break rules if I want to “
Bet they chuck their rubbish out the car window aswell, why should their car be a mess? Wouldn't work for selfies for social media that!
