Sounds like they want to make it even worse which is no surprise. The games basically completely finished as a competition. The so called 'great' clubs are terrified of a fair contest.
What I read was that they are looking at actually making it a little fairer in the PL - basically, if you qualify for Europe or UCL, you will fall in line with UEFA's 70% rule (no more than 70% of your revenue can be used on acquisitions and salaries). If you don't qualify for Europe, that cap is raised to 85% to allow those underneath a chance to catch up a bit. Now that would be potentially big for us - assuming our revenues will climb to about £300m and the current cap is therefore £210m, this would be raised further to £255m. Hell of a jump. The PL will also look to scrap the three year system and instead run it in real time, which is great when you have clubs over-spending then failing (Spurs, Chelsea, Man U). Well run clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and City will of course remain untouched - but let's remind ourselves that Liverpool and Arsenal have competed for titles forever. City broke the mould - we then have to adhere to stringent rules but our trajectory will only be slowed, not stopped.
Looks like this ongoing investigation into the Saudi involvement in Newcastle isn't going to end well for us. This is why there's so much silence from the club.
Chaos doesn’t drinks tea, he’ll boil rhubarb leaves or some ****e that he’s read is healthy somewhere
I was being polite for the purpose of the forum. I'm assuming it will actually be bones and blood that he reads to see the future.
