Media love affair with Liverpool and Klopp is embarrassing, I for one will definitely not miss Klopp when he leaves.
Klopp has been fun for the PL TBH. I've enjoyed his style of football and his personality (although he has been over the top at times). People who get worked up over media fawning over another club need to find a new hobby quite frankly.
Yeah, I think he's a brilliant manager for mid sized clubs, where he has free rein, but he doesn't have that "thing" that gives him the ability to quite get a grip of elite level clubs.
I think it’s a bit too early to say. He has inherited a **** squad at a basket case of a club. I could still easily see him turning it around there. He was amazing here & at spurs.
It feels like he's just lost his mojo a bit. He needs to go back to a mid-size club (hi Poch!) and get it all going again.
Because it seems a complete waste of energy to me. It's never going to be any different so why bother getting worked up over it? If Alonso comes in it will happen all over again. The big clubs always get the majority of media attention which is part of the reason why it's so much fun to beat them.
Yeah he may well go on and prove differently but at this stage you have to consider him a step below the best such as Klopp/Pep/Ancelotti etc. Having a good 16 months at Southampton doesn't mean a lot really in the grand scheme of things and as well as he did at Spurs he really should have won something with that group of players. Think somewhere he's ****ed himself over a bit is by generally not putting much stock into the domestic cups. Had he won a league cup with Spurs early on then they'd have probably pushed on and got something else. You need that first trophy sometimes to provide that belief. Look at Mourinho, always took that trophy very seriously when in England and won it in his first season for all three jobs here.
Chelsea have been exactly the same under a number of managers now, I suspect it’s not Poch that’s the problem there.
I understand the big teams get more coverage, but the Klopp coverage is way more than anyone else gets. Do you remember when Gerrard announced his upcoming departure from Liverpool, skys coverage was above embarrassing, you would have thought he had died with he amount he got…..,ran with it for days.
He won the only trophies in his managerial career at PSG to be fair, so hardly a poor choice. I agree going to Chelsea was bonkers though.
