Don't know whether this warrants a new thread, but just a thought. I reckon January will be NB's biggest test. For 2 reasons: 1. Quality of signings he makes - a good manager makes good signings, Nick obviously has no experience of this before, so we'll really get an idea of what sort of manager he is after that. 2. How he works with his new signings - obviously so far the team is made up of those who already know and respect him, the players want to do well for him. When he brings in new players, if he's a decent manager he needs to be able to motivate these players too. You could possibly almost say in some ways that he hasn't really had a huge management role to play yet, as he is already respected by the existing squad. Like I said, I don't know if this warrants a new thread, but it's just a thought. Not greatly written either, but I hope you get the jist of what I'm trying to say.
I generally agree. NB has had enough experience of tactics, team talks etc, but has none when it comes to the financial side. Should be interesting.
With the transfer side of things I think we'll see the value of Steve Wigley and Stuart Watkiss in helping Nick get to grips with managerial responsibilities off the field.
FFS Barmby has no experience of transfers, management or anything else apart from kicking a ball around. He's going to **** it up for sure and we'll be relegated 3 seasons on the bounce and then go into admin and finally die as a club. Sorry everyone...I thought I was that **** Kang for a minute. CTID.
Agree, notice how the boards are getting quiet at night? I think most people are tucked up in bed having ****s over Barmby. Ffs he's inexperienced and clueless well be in league one next season. Whether he's from hull or not he's a **** for punching Bullard and effectively starting off him being pushed out of the club. There is one positive though, we might get a record for having the worlds shortest manager.
we may also see the true benefit of Nick's previous associations with the likes of Terry Venebles, etc. Something must have rubbed off and I guess some associations will remain throughout the game.
EXCLUSIVE: Simon Walton signs for North Ferriby! Says he is looking forward to the challenge of.......... serving pies to OLM
assuming they dont run out of pies ? i got one pre-kick off against gateshead and when i went for another they had all gone. they need a bigger stock for matches. it was not as though burnsie was there either.
