Apparently Liam is hugely annoyed, and given his team's performance I am not surprised, but he has only been here for a few months and we have been watching the same crap for decades. Mehmeti, Cornick, Wells and a couple of others are not good enough for the Championship and obviously nobody was willing to part with cash to take them off our hands during transfer window. Seriously if anyone at Bristol City believes that these sub par players can be part of a brighter future they need an IQ test on football to see if they are right. but I tend to think we know better because we don't wear rose coloured glasses to bend the truth. Talking about what we want Bristol City to do to warrant our support is somewhat like peeing into the wind and expecting something nice to happen. To be a success firstly you need to know what you want and how to get it and then you add quality to make it work better but we can't even get the plan correct in the first place so what hope is there?

    Spot on RP..
I wanted Mehmeti to turn a corner and become a real play maker but doesn’t seem to improve.. which I’m disappointed in being under LM..
In the summer we definitely need new faces.. and some that need to move on.

So it’s 9 points from the last 10 games under Manning . That’s pathetic . The Southampton game and cup run has totally masked the overall performance and return which is relegation form

If Nige had stayed and we were in this position now, he’d have been sacked, if that makes sense

All the more laughable that our clown of a chairman and CEO or whatever he is nowadays claim our squad is top 6 quality.

Not one club in the championship would even have a JL or BT type at their clubs in the role they are currently.

Junior Lansdown as CEO it's a joke and gained his revenge because Nige told him the truth, Tinman a great player for the club but a failed manager, now a director in charge of ? Rediculous, the suits are in charge, we are so lucky, top 6 club they stated, waffle and my sympathy is with LM but it was his choice.

I remember going through a bad run like that (there were quite a few) when Nige was temporary manager.......then got offered a 3 year contract.........even he thought that was strange.....
LM should have at least the remainder of this, a summer transfer and a good dozen games next season before any thought of action....IMO

I agree with everything Wiz has written.
    And now 1For.
I will be forever grateful to NP, nevertheless we must give LM the summer and autumn before we can safely judge him.

oh dear oh dear oh deary me didnt get the result till gone 5pm .. and that is dire!

only saw 45 secs?! on the box might have been a minute their goals ours and to chances we had which became a red card for them.

No TWINE ... No MEBUDE the latter whats the point with him play him give him game time or he disappears into the ether and becomes a star somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly worse than NP .. WOULD WE BE 10 points better off with NIGE? hard to determine... although I think all the points lost against lower teams might have been a lot lot less so yes on balance I would say we could be!

good or bad choice dumping NP .....well a lot of similar manouvres by differing clubs have proven fatal! ... take Sunderland as a prime example... or Schmacher going to Stoke! ......

I’m not watching Cardiff Saturday have something else more important -I really am glad as Ashton Gate is going to be hostile if this goes tits up.

Fair play, RR, you really are the king of knee jerk reactions. Win the next 3 and you’ll be all about the play-offs again. We always were a mid table side this season. Give LM a chance, we had a VERY experienced manager who couldn’t deliver a top half finish for 3 straight seasons. Yes, he had some constraints, but he still should have done better with his experience, so we have to give LM time, and money. He’s had 1 window, and no money!!

And tbf we competed well in 4 games against 2 Prem clubs which shows a degree of hope.
There might come a time in the Autumn where LM is sacked but till then we have to hold our nerve and give LM a fair crack of the whip.

You have a jaundiced view of NP'S tenure.

RP, it’s not me with the jaundiced view, the league positions don’t lie, no matter what you tell yourself.
I have constantly acknowledged his constraints, but you and your fellow Nige luvees have never acknowledged that such an experienced manager could and should have done more!!

Not a chance of that -city look out of sorts and lost under Manningball.

The facts are he is out of his depth -inexperienced naive- does not have a plan B in his locker.
Still SL and JL have their yes man in place.
