The thing is they all hated on the last manager for years and said the he is responsible for everything including the injury situation. What we're watching is dreadful so surely we can say that? It's just the truth.

If Bruce won games it was dreadful according to them.<laugh>

Right now Newcastle has a couple of players out that would start and we're absolutely dreadful.

I think he played well when he came on the other day..I'm surprised you're against giving youth a chance actually.

We know longstaff is useless he's had years of chances.. the sides failing.. change it.

There's numerous different approaches to games.. we are stale.

Tonali, Pope, Joelinton, Willock (literally just coming back and not match fit), yes just a couple. Try to keep to the facts.

You can only play 3 in midfield folders... so only 2 or 3 of those could start hence my comment being correct.

All sides tend to have one or two out....this injury crisis has become an excuse and might I remind you that I made my feelings clear on the 'Cause' rather than crying about bad luck alone.

We're dreadful and Howe will be replaced in time thats my opinion and has been for months....he's not the right guy... he's done his bit thanks and goodbye....

He did indeed but doesn’t mean he should start. EH then brought on Willock.

Assume you couldn’t name a different 3 to start?

    Yes I can.

Hall can play cm and actually so can schar and trippier... then you've got white... there's plenty of possibles.

Let me remind you that I suggested Joelinton could play in the middle before howe moved him there and was laughed at.

The thing is people pigeon hole players too much ... If there's a problem with pace put someone with pace in there....find a way even if it doesn't make sense.... Livramento can probably play there at least we'll have some pace box to box ...find a temporary fix ffs.. Howe just waits for players to come back.

I'm not saying it'll definitely work but what he's doing definitely doesn't.

    Midfield.

Tonali, Bruno, Willock at home or Joe away.

    So,

    1. Pope
    2. Tonali
    3 Willock or Joe.

Being pedantic, that’s more than a couple. The three would make a huge difference.

Every manager gets replaced in time which will, in time, include EH.

So what exactly would have been your starting 3 in midfield last night?

It doesn't really matter what you try if what you're doing is already not working.

I'd have played Livramento RIGHT BACK that's his best position for a start and I'd be picking Hall..... because midfield is so appalling I'd have stuck Trippier Guimareas and White in there maybe even Almiron through the middle in a different formation .. ultimately there's numerous options.

The front 3 doesn't work because isak cannot hold a ball up so I honestly don't know what you could do there?... if there's a striker anywhere at the club that can put himself about I'd play him with Gordon and isak... . Can miley play that role ? I don’t know.

Essentially this manager doesn't do anything that's the problem I'm not saying other things will work , but they might and that's the key here.

I can see why we never employed you as manager.

A right back in midfield, Bruno and someone who has come on as sub once to play against an in form Arsenal away. Roly would have been having kittens and everyone else would have been describing it as a resignation letter.

Whatever I said you'd have responded like that, and again you did when I said Joelinton has all the attributes to play in the middle.

    You have a closed mind.

Okay find just one poster on here who would (honestly) agree that that should have been our starting midfield last night and I will yield.

It’s easy to be destructive in criticism but it’s a darn sight harder to be constructive as you have just proven.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Personally I would have gone 5-3-2 with Burn as part of the 3 CB Livermento and Trippier as wing backs. The same three in midfield with Longstaffing sitting deepest.

Then Isak and Gordon front two but playing quite narrow.

I don't have to you asked me a question and the fact is nothing different is tried that's the crux of it. Apart from anything else the opposition know whats coming , but that's just another reason.

You have a closed mind just like you did with Joelinton and you all laughed at me on that too. What happened? He was moved there and now you're all crying that he's missing from midfield.
