My Bristol supporting mate watched the game in a pub in Manchester, and was giving me grief by text before the game. At the full time whistle he refused to take my calls and apparently broke his hand punching a wall in despair. Gives a new meaning to sore loser I suppose
Thirded. They took it unbelievably well and I like to think, although seriously doubt we would, do the same in that situation.
Have to agree the Bristol fans took defeat very well, went to Ashton Gate earlier this season and again their fans were great before and after the game
Heh can you imagine just how badly we'd take something like that, and how long we'd be bitter and twisted for?
Entrance E block 506 Row 3 seat 175 and nope mine on my wall with all the other tickets i have gotten from over the years including yeovil away in 2004!!
Very early start from Walton Street on official City Coach, Watford Gap Service Station wall to wall Black and amber as was MI. All the family sat in the upper section of the stadium, Singing from the moment we got in our seats until the cleaners moved us out. Sat on the coach waiting for stragglers to get back on. Again the MI and Watford Gap was wall to wall Tiger Nation. Brilliant Day.
I had to fly out to Australia with work for a month the day after the play-off game v Watford ( still the best atmosphere at a City KC game to date imo) So I watched the final in Williamstown, Melbourne Australia at 12:30am and it still hadn't sunk in the next day that we were in the Prem. I proudly displayed my City t-shirt the next day, as I was playing for the Melbourne branch of Barstonworth United and a lot of people congratulated me on our achievement
Went with my Pa and little bro. Took the train, then the tube which was hotter than hell. Stood in a supermarket car park, near wembley way, supping cans with other fans. Bumped into a guy I work with. Then on to the stadium to take my seat here... please log in to view this image
I was in Club Wembley Seats too, front row, looking over the corner flag. 4 of us went and set off at 8am on sat morning and was so nervous. Got to Wembley and had to have a couple of drinks, to try and calm my nerves. Before the game we went for a walk around the stadium, and the atmosphear was awsome, but the best atmosphear was deffo inside the stadium. My nerves were in overtime before kick off. The goal what more can i say! and the final 10 mins were the longest minutes all season! but after the final whistle yes you guessed it, i cryed my eyes out!! IT was the best way to round off an awesome, emotional season following the boys home and away, and its one season that i will never forget. All day my phone was in overdrive, either people texting me, or calling me! The celibrations kept on going for well over 2 weeks as i flew to Greece the Wednesday after Wembley and the ammount of other fans that were there kept congratulating us and we even got a few drinks from others!
Yeah, I don't recall the players being the size of ants on the day. Anyway, just for the hell of it, here's another. What other occasion could you get away with a hat like that? Note Cousin it, front right. Another celebrity city fan. please log in to view this image
