Jobe is causing an imbalance in the team if he starts in that position every game without any care about his performance. It’s affecting the development of the likes of Rigg and Adil who could be playing there. Id be cashing in on him in the summer
The initial disappointment has subsided for me so here are some things that are on my mind: Both Ballard and Clarke weren’t available today and they’re the most likely to leave in the summer, food for thought. 5 at the back only works when you’re extremely well organised and are willing to concede the bulk of possession ie vs Leicester, Leeds, Soton but not against Swansea. Seelt and Hjelde are squad players for a reason, they’re not quite upto par and that’s fine, but we need less pining from the fanbase.
There needs to be some changes next week. Neil and Jobe are running on empty, my team would be Patterson Hume Seelt O'Nien Hjelde Styles Rigg Ekwah Mundle/Adil Rusyn Clarke/Mundle That would be depending if Clarke was fit, if he is, Mundle on the right and if he's not Adil on the right and Mundle on the left. The defense has to stay as is as we've no one else fit
Feels like I bang on about him constantly but why isn't Aouchiche getting more than a few minutes at the end of the game? He is better than Ba, Ekwah and Jobe. Him and Jobe created the same amount of chances, had the same amount of shots, Aouchiche had a touch in the Swansea box while Jobe didn't. Aouchiche played 5 minutes plus added time, Jobe played every minute.
Very disappointing. Very disjointed. I couldn't work out what formation we were trying. Urgency in the first half was non existent. It could have been 3 or 4. Second half an improvement but overall a big job to get us back on track.
I’m lost for words tonight, that 1st half performance was unacceptable from the players, they must have worked on their shape all week but it looked like they had all just turned up for a Sunday morning runabout. We are missing some big players in Clarke, Ballard, Robert’s and Cirkin and it showed immensely. I thought there was a chance for play offs still but after today I’ve gave up. This season is now a free hit for Dodds. Have to accept that Speakman has came out and apologised they know its been a big mistake. However the summer now is huge the appointment of manager, coaches, transfer window has to be bang on. Next year is 3 yrs into a 5yr plan so we need to take bigger steps going forward. The way I see it is... 25 for Clarke 20 for Neil 20 for ballard 15 patto. 80 mill invested back into the squad properly there is no reason why we can't give a good account of ourselves next season.
Reinvest half of that and you should go up. Have to find players that fit our style though not just sign whoever becomes available and potentially has a high upside, it’s not football manager.
I've just noticed your text, I'm watching the Scotland rugby where I could've been.. No offence to you personally Bob but you've just passed on a text you say is 'from one of the club's top accountants'. He's saying, 'Heard nothing Bob other than the club being for sale'. If he's done that he wants sacking, suing and banished from the club. That's worse than anything regarding the BCB or the derby. You always say that people at the club read what you post on here. If that's the case and I was in their shoes I'd banish you from the club as well. You're posting wages, contracts and other details to total strangers including myself. Even 2 of them didn’t spend anywhere near £40m this season I don’t think, Leicester might’ve like. Obvs teams coming down have players who’ve played in the PL and come into the division strong though. Ipswich have only spent about £10m on fees over the last 3 seasons and look at them now.. with £40m and potentially a decent loanee or two you should be battling for automatics no question about it,
players did not give a toss the first half. shocking thing is Ipswich (league one last season)have a method in place we don't have anything, now 12 points off the drop now we need a win from some where poor season this has been
Do you not think last season if we'd had a fully fit squad all season we'd have done what they're doing and maybe gone up? Squad depth totally cost us last season, injuries by the end were just crazy.
Not long home and dont know what to make of that. First half was awful, second half not much better. Just felt flat with no fight or desire
