Spot on with your first paragraph. We don’t look well organised at the back. Stephens has been pushing forward into the midfield for much of the half, which they haven’t exploited, but even when we are all back defending we are struggling to clear our lines.
Millwall have lost to Leicester 3-2 twice this season. Lets see if we can do the same, all to play for 2nd half.
Don't think it's about Charles specifically. It's the fact that we look so wide open to counter attacks when we don't have a DM playing. The formation looks off too with defenders and Jack swapping constantly and we just look so vulnerable. Strikes me as trying to be a bit too clever rather than the simple option. Still think we've got a great chance of winning this mind.
I think I would also consider putting Stephens on a tighter rein and go with 3 at the back and let KWP loose.
I really dont get the negativity. It’s been all saints. Just been unlucky and a **** ref. No need to overreact at a performance like this IMO
I don’t think it’s an organisational thing really. We just have such comfortable possession for so long that the defenders end up miles up the pitch so a loss of possession and quick counter initiated means there is so much space for them to play into. Today isn’t the only time it’s happened, we always look all over the place at the back just because there is loads of room for the oppo to play the ball
No but he did put a CB at right back for a home game we will dominate, but be vulnerable on the counter, when we have a left back that is both better going forward and faster in recovery. He also subbed on Edozie, who has done very little in recent weeks instead of our record signing that clearly has a point to prove. We can't blame Martin for 2 individual mistakes, but that doesn't mean he can't be criticised.
Don't mind that from KWP. A few long shots is a good plan - better than trying to dribble and pass around 11 players in the box.
