Afternoon all - been a busy bunny this morning as I am slipping out early as we have a "leaving" do in London tonight...one of my ex-ex bosses is moving to another organistion, so we are out on the drink. She has booked a Tapas place to start off in - £28 a head for a few snacks! plus 12.5% service charge...bloody 'eck! I will need to get some Cider down me first...

Sandy & H - you should replace those boilers as they are horribly inefficient. I replaced our old boiler a couple of years ago and I am using between 30 - 50% less gas now. I estimate it will pay for itself in another 18 months - not cheap, but a good investment..

Grey but mild day in West West London...

You can just dig a deep enough hole and put water in. It comes out hot.

It's not quite that bad but it can be very slow going at times. Loads of roadworks these days too, which really doesn't help! But yep, great for the clutch control :)

Dan, you said you dress like that all year round, that just makes you crazy! lol...you'll notice my friend (who is not Mr H lol) dresses to the nines! lol..he has far more layers than me all year round!

    lmao!

I know you're right w_y...the gas man tells us that every year when he comes to service it...it's terrible..and we're constantly bleeding radiators..the whole system is shot! lol

    um....staying out of it...definitely! lol

H - Last time the BG man came to service our boiler, it turned out he was a scummer. I had left an empty bottle of Watford wine in the utility room next to the boiler and he got the right hump...he asked Mrs W_Y to move it...
When we had our new boiler fitted, BG cleaned out the system, but in a couple of thermostatic valves, one of them magnetic cleaning thingy's in the system and a sparkling new boiler with all new vents and pipes and stuff....they were there for 4 days!

Afternoon all, well that is the last cut of the grass for this year I didn't do it last month and it was getting just a bit untidy so I thought what the hell get it done as it was dry! The showhouse which was/is next door to us is being moved so they took the railings away which now leaves me without railings at the side of the front door. I went and asked why had they removed it and they oh but we shall replace it, so why move it then<grr> So they dug up all the plants as well and replanted some new ones, they left the mini-skip outside my house so I helped myself to a couple of shrubs, waste not want not;) So at least now I can clean up the flymo and put it away at the back of the garage till spring;)

I've never been accused of subtlety before lol..

    Bonkers! ;)

It was that here on Monday...i'm hoping it stays around the 12c mark...but the evenings are far worse! Brrrr!

We've just paved the front garden, it looks so much better, despite Mr H's constant mowing of the old lawn. We've left a couple of beds and i've been putting off going to the garden centre to find stuff to put in them, i'm soo not into gardening. To me, gardens are for sitting in lol

    Aw, very bless!
