Not sure that Teddy in the corner approves ... or that he is really is a serious threat rather than just a very sad twat seeking some attention...

You dont think someone with a big fook off machete is a serious threat, what would he have to do for you to be considered a threat? Alongside his experiments at bomb making, and having other items of question in his possesion. Maybe we should change his name from Jacob and the colour of his skin and he might fit a better profile for you!

Growing up as a kid we had my great grandfather's sword, knife and a machete upstairs (also had a couple of antique pistols which I assume had been his) ... he was a captain in the British army in India - and my Grandma was born there I believe (certainly grew up there) me and my cousins took them out on several occasions to pose with them - but there was no social media - funnily enough, I was never tempted to take them outside ...

So you don't see him as a serious threat, maybe at his sentencing in March he should just plead it was his Grandads machete, and explain that wanting to kill 50 people people is no different to when his dad use to play hangman or battleships. As for the pipe bomb, I suppose we did use to have cap guns, that let off a loud bang. **** we been locking all these terrorists up for no good reason, good spot Fosse.

No mate - of course you have to take it seriously- the risk of not doing so is far too great ... my point was that he looks more saddo than baddo ... wonder if he took Teddy with him when they lifted him ...

Those cap guns were great tho' weren't they? .. last one I can remember had replaceable circular magazines that would revolve on to the next cap after each shot.. all the kids on our street would be out on a Sunday afternoon having a good old shoot up ... footie in the street too ... carpet factory double doors were the goal for games of heading and volleying ...

If anyone poses with a weapon with a threatening message they should be grabbed and questioned you either put the fear in them or if you discover a screw loose, take it further.

Guy was thinking of making a pipebomb. That's not a joke

    I dont like London.
In fact I loathe the ****ing place.
Its too loud, its dirty as **** and there are too many people.
Every time I come back from there for the next two days I am blowing my nose and black ****e comes out.
Everything is twice the price it is everywhere else.
Make no mistake I am no hardcore football fan relative to the real hardcore match goers, at least not any more.
I love football, but I have kids, a wife, a mortgage (nearly paid tho <ok>).
In the 90's I was hardcore, would go to Chelsea with my dad and uncle, then Highbury with my mum and brother to watch Arsenal. My mum tried like hell to get me to be an Arsenal fan....I just felt an affinty to Chelsea.
But yeah make no mistake, I am a tourist these days. Lucky if I go to one match a season, and I only buy the shirt every 2-3 years. Got more important things to spend my money on.

Fooking hell you've gone full tonto there. Yes I agree that London is ridicously expensive, which to me is why it makes more sense to commute than live there. I certainly wouldn't say it was dirty, yeah some areas might be, but no different to any other City, maybe you just neeed to stop sniffing your coke in the gutter. As for loud, where isn't loud these days, with the invention of the mobile phone every tosser thinks you need to listen to their conversation. Crowded, can be but that's what occurs when it's at the centre of finance and tourism. I love London but like any City you have to have a bit of awareness around you, but as I rarely visit these days, I can accept paying over the top prices begrudgingly within reason, when I do visit. Most other times I'm paying less than £3 a pint because of the choices I make not to live there.

Indeed. It’s a capital city. There are great and **** bits of Paris, Berlin and Madrid too. If you want a cheap pint you’re never far from a Spoons or you can drink in pubs that have been there for centuries. It’s got great transport, some of the best restaurants in the world or great places from just about any cuisine you can think of. As much history as almost anywhere, museums, theatres, sports stadia. Some of the best shopping in the world if that’s your thing.

It’s the sort of thing I’d expect Kustard to say after getting the train into Euston, having two pints in some dross pub at £7 a pop and deciding the whole city is a dump based on Euston Road (which is a dump but slowly improving).

Yeah I've done a few of the Spoons in London, one in St Pancras, I think there was one in Victoria, which I remember went upstairs. I can remember another one being down by the canal, the bar ran the length of the front facia if I remember correctly, probably Camden. Another one somewhere in London, where the bar and seating area went back a very long way inside. Probably others I've forgotten.

There are 17 in zone one alone so if Bod’s main criteria for enjoying a city is the cost of a pint he’s well served.
