The traffic in York is far worse than Hull, at least under normal circumstances, obviously we have bigger issues at the moment due to the ongoing works.

For most of the day, when there aren’t major works going on, it’s relatively easy to drive in Hull.

In London, I lived eleven miles from my office, getting home took well over an hour, sometimes as long as three hours, it’s on a completely different level (and that’s about the only place in the country with really good public transport).

I guess most of the traffic is not going into the centre but travelling from east to west( and vice versa)?. There isn’t a lot of public transport options

Maybe it’s ok when things are running smoothly, but when there is an accident anywhere in Hull, it does seem to affect everywhere, but where we are positioned on the Humber, there’s **** all they can do about it, short of building a lagoon.. that’s gone very quiet.

I don't think the cost and resources of transhipping goods from the relatively high percentage of HGV's onto public transport is viable.

What most people miss, is that the trunk road is designed to carry vehicles between Cities. The A63 is used as a commuter route from the outer suburbs, which is not really it's designed purpose.

What should happen is the East Riding should contribute to the upkeep of roads in Hull or alternative modes of transport in proportion to the number of their residents that use them and take the strain off the A63. It's no good telling the people that pay for Hull roads that they should use a bike or bus so that visitors from outside can have an easier ride.

These are no MATRIX signs the only one being close to the bridge west bound. ... there is no MATRIX signage from Howden to Hull East bound warn of delays... my point, which you for the sake of a hard on you chose to ignore, is not the city centre, but the areas leading to. If there was signage back toward Hessle as an example people could find a way around it. It still stands that whoever passed CSW wants ****ing for not having hard shoulders. The infrastructure of the city was never built to accommodate the number of cars let alone lorries using it.

Again, improving local roads and/or the East Riding creating alternatives for their residents to commute into Hull is one alternative option.

There is no way round it, due to the current works, all routes are jammed up. it's unavoidable for the time being.

    Also, stop been ****.

It's kind of ended up that way, but that wasn't the plan nor the contract at the onset, and options other than the one chosen would have reduced it further, but the peculiar way the priorities set funding reduced that.

To simply dismiss the comments misses a lot of the issues.

I’d probably be less dismissive of a comment if it didn’t start by calling me a ****wit…

Maybe Hull residents should pay for the upkeep of beaches in the East Riding and the roads that take them there?

I tend to ignore the personal bits and try to tease out the bits that relate to the topic. I don't think he was far off with those.

Are you being asked to cycle along the beach to facilitate tourists?

Can’t move for the buggers in summer and it costs a fortune clearing up after them.

How about charging the hundreds of thousands of tourists and the tens of thousands arriving from all around the country to watch rugby league matches?
