One of which was before we got it together. And largely due to a lack of clinical finishing. Leicester’s strike force is better than several premier league sides
Hum, yes that’s worked out tremendously well. Sorry but even if I agree & in someways I do, “WE” haven’t utilised.
We haven’t conceded a goal with him playing recently, whereas with the three alternatives we’ve conceded a shedload. So I think it actually has worked out an awful lot better than people have surmised, just because he misplaced some passes against Bristol City…
Said, I didn’t disagree but you & me ain’t the manager. I’m sure there’s a few turns to go this season but imo it’s the play offs for us. Yes, a few will say blah, blah, blah but “we” need a lil steel, real m flair, difference to attain the top & I think we’re lacking (unfortunately, in this very competitive season). Let’s see tho?
Weirdly less worried about them than Leicester despite their good run. Think we are right in this now
Love your optimism but we ain’t in a roll & maybe(?) have been found out? Yes LC are “failing” but no more than us & still a few points in front. If we can put together another sequence , maybe.
I think all teams are likely to slip up. I’d be surprised if Leeds go unbeaten for the season, and now Leicester have shown proper weakness. Injuries permitting we are right in the title race now. We just need to sort our form but we can genuinely do it. Neither of them looked anything special tonight.
I went to the Hull game. First game for ages and we were pants. I blame myself as I'd had a really lucky weekend, and it had run out by Tuesday. I'm not going to any more this season so our home results ought to get better again. *correlation does not imply causation, but that doesn't mean to say its not true
This. No shame saying Leeds got lucky today. They should have been 2 down and could very easily have been 5 down before the equaliser. I thought they were pretty poor in the first half. Rutter and Piroe in particular. Leicester let them back in amd the home advantage edged it for them in the end. It showed Leicester’s weaknesses and their strengths today. Big chances created and missed, not enough energy when they went ahead. I think it’s great that Leeds won, everyone’s fate is in their own hands. A couple of draws and LC are right back in the mix. What an exciting league to be in. Still hoping Ipswichhave another wobble or two.
Now I've calmed down ... sorry lads. Don't have Sky so couldn't watch it live - but having seen the highlights we should probably have been out of sight by the time they equalised and that wrongly disallowed goal probably would have meant a different end result. They also got the rub of the green with the deflections - but that's footie. All that said, your manager should have picked up useful pointers for when you play them - All the best until we play you again.
I thought last night’s game fluctuated quite a bit. Leeds pressed really well, early doors, then switched off at the corner. Between the first goal and half time Leeds had opportunities to get level but seemed to be looking for the perfect opening instead of hitting the ball early. Second half Leicester should have killed the game and probably would’ve had the disallowed goal stood. From there on Leeds (hopefully) used up all the luck they are entitled to for the rest of the season. Still a long way to go and I have seen one Birmingham player saying that they want a good result at Ipswich as a boost for Mowbray, so they might give Ipswich a problem or two if they do as he says.
To take the maximum 12 points from matches vs Leicester and Ipswich is incredibly impressive (regardless of the fact that they never deserved the points yesterday). Without them, Leeds' season would be looking massively different. Fortunately they couldn't take any points off us. (Yet)
