This batch of games seems the busiest, 5 in 15 days as you say. But the festive schedule imo seems quieter this year than it has done other years, probably because there's a 9 day break between the Millwall game and the Boro game then a 5 day break from then until the Burnley game. We're busy with games from now until the FA Cup 3rd round, but the busiest period seems to be within the next 2 weeks rather than over Christmas.

In the next 4 games a win, a loss and 2 draws would the the minimum points return we should hope for. This and anything above this for me would be a good result.

    Agreed

I read yesterday that Buckingham thinks we need a 10 point haul from these games to stay in the race for the promotion.

FFS it'd barely be halfway through the season by then, typical ****e from the fail. I don't know why i still read their website :emoticon-0149-no:

That's how the pools / bookies can make money. If football was predictable then they could never make a profit. [or, with the consiparacy theory, results are decided in advance...]

Might be little bit too optimistic to say that we'll be unbeaten.

Couldn't agree more. I'd just been wondering whether the fans would tolerate the possibility of only 1 point - or less(!) from the 3 tough games after Burnley. Don't wish to seem pesimisitc - just a realist and long term fan who's seen too many bubbles burst!

I think realistically 6 points from those 4 games would be good.

I think it's important we take points off the teams around us, but don't think this 4/5 game spell will dictate whether we finish in the top 6 or not at the end of the season. There'll still be over half of the season still to play, and by Christmas in this league about 75% of the teams could still realistically be in with a chance of finishing in the top 6.

As much as I would like us to stuff Leicester I reckon that will be the toughest game, because they have a huge advantage in that Pearson knows us inside out.

in a strange sort of way i fear that Burnley will be the hardest game of these 4. mrs tickler thinks that city will be the first team to take points from the saints at home this season. the way the saints play will suit the tigers down to the ground.

i predict 7 points min from these games.
