Bazball for any team may pull you out of it occasionally but fundamental test cricket play needs to override any other form of tactic.

 

England bring in Robinson and Bashir for Wood and Ahmed in the 4th Test. Surprised the batters are unchanged, with Bairstow in particular lucky to keep his place. Root retained for his bowling presumably. Just win the toss please Stokesy.

 

I read today that the pitch has big cracks at either end of the wicket. Will probably favour spinners.

 

India have rested Bumrah, which says a great deal.

 

England haven't lost a series under Stokes/McCullum.

This match might change that, though.

Root inching towards a century, superb knock and what Root should be doing every innings ! Can anyone stay with him ? 300 would be around par on this wicket, we just need to bowl well and not let either of their openers get in and smash it to all parts !
