Newcastle scouts will have provided a list and Howe will probably have added a few of his desired targets to it aswel. Interestingly enough people are using the very same argument to deny Ashworths involvement in some of those names. Finally Howe admitted he wanted Phillips!
That's still not proof, that's faith. By tye way, faith can be based on 'evidence', just not 'absolute proof'. So if you are using evidence, but not absolute proof, then you are applying faith. And your final caveat of Howe probably adding input works both ways. Maybe HE added Botman to a list that already contained Burn & Targett. Maybe. But we don't know for sure.

I accept who Howe added to the list is an assessment, but unfortunately the people saying howe bought Guimareas isak and botman are doing the same just without considering how long clubs look and players and how long Howe was involved here.
