You know it’s ironic that for decades we have wanted players to be sold to clubs for decent transfer fees but because of our old owner we had **** assets. And yet now we have a decent establishment. The transfer haggle is not over a player but the DoF. Only NUFC could write this script.
Just £5m compensation and then they have him from Monday - Thursday and we still have him Friday - Sunday?
Wimped out.... in fact have embarrassed themselves talking tough and then rolled over like a Kansas City ***got.
He's a ****ing pauper mate. only worth £18bn. Pif could buy HIM and make him do their gardens in Riyadh.
Given he doesn't impact FFP PIF have no reason at all to compromise. They can well afford to let him rot to prove a point and disadvantage Man U. For me it's about putting a value on the knowledge he has in our upward trajectory and how him sharing that with a rival this year and next may impact that trajectory. £20m is chump change so I'd just tell Man Utd to poke it and let him garden away.
Political. Need to keep some semblance of peace and also prove that we're just not that bothered and can quickly adapt.
Mate, he just signs a hefty, binding NDA. Any sniff of them around targets or whatever would ensure legal recourse.
We then pull a list of all players from football manager and tell them they can’t buy anyone from this list
Then they shouldn't have played hardball or pretended to in the 1st place. It was either roll over and keep quiet or stand tall and not budge.
That's like saying selling your house is sold far too cheaply or for way more than its' worth. The reality is always in the middle, which is exactly where we'll end up. £10m for a Sporting Director is utterly insane on its' own. Heard Nickson is on the shortlist to replace Ashworth in a flatter structure that gives Howe more power. These new investors sure are going to take the long ****ing way round.
If it makes you fee better...... Nickson was well down the line in signing James Maddison in the summer. Ashworth intervened and pulled out the deal as he believed Elliot Anderson would be a better longer term option.
Usually people choose to sell their house though. Howe having more power will see Newcastle follow Everton onto the scrap heap.
Howe needs to be away from deciding transfers. We want a team built for Europe, not just finishing 8th or 9th in PL. Howe loves British and I get bored of British, I want a bit of flair. Like another Bruno, not another Burn. Another Isak, not another Wilson.
I wish everyone would take Munse's British Plodder's line, scrumple it up and stick it up their arses. Howe bought Botman, Bruno and Isak. plays Joelinton every week he can in addition with Schar and Miggy. At no point do we boot the ball long and chase it - which is what a plodder is.
I agree he shouldn't be doing anything other than coaching and managing the squad he's provided with. Howe is an Ale House player/ manager that has absolutely no clue what a really top player looks like. He's never played with any and he's got absolutely no draw or connections within Europe. He will without doubt overload the club with Southgate style players and it'll take a decade to recover.
I honestly don’t think Eddie was responsible for Isak, Bruno & Botman.. could be talking utter **** like but I just can’t imagine him ever been the type of players he’d go for.
What proof do you have that he is too involved in transfer decisions? Or are you just applying faith in this instance? Think carefully before answering, this could send you down a rabbit hole...
Of course he wasn't he'd been here 5 minutes. clubs watch players years .. the scouts will have been all over them for ages... If Howe was behind any it'll be the plodders like Burn and Targett. Trippier and Pope he may have been tbf but that wasn't because of his scouting nouse he just knew them... he doesn't know enough in that capacity imo and one reason why he needs replacing eventually.
