It is fair, he’s got a good kick on him but let’s not kid ourselves he’s a rubbish goalkeeper. I can’t remember another keeper ever making ad many errors as he has in his half a season. It’s only a matter of time until he lets an easy save slip through his hands again or parries a ball straight to the opponents feet.

Goalkeeper is by some way the weakest link in our team now and I believe that is also the opinion of the coaching and management team given they just spent a pretty decent chunk of a constrained budget on yet another goalkeeper, hopefully Pandur turns out to be the real deal.

I reckon it will also become evident once he has become surplus, and I expect much like Ingram we will struggle to find another club willing to take over his contract and will be stuck paying him for a time.

Or the plan was always to have two strong keepers who play with the ball at feet and they got one in the summer one in January. Hardly controversial. He's been excellent the last few games and was minutes away from a clean sheet at Soton where the goal was not his fault. He also spared Seri's blushes early.

Troare a weird one - think he's got too much stick previously but sometimes he's just far too casual. Came on against Swansea and looked great, came on last night and looked poor (not just the mistake leading up to the goal). Never really hit the heights consistently that I expected him to after last season. Wonder if he'll be offered anything beyond the end of the season.

In this case it has to be the goalkeepers fault as he can see the whole pitch in front of him and should have called no man on.

He should be shown the door come the end of the season, regardless of the league we're playing in next season we've got another pretty big rebuild on our hands.

Don't think it'll be too big. A striker or two, a CM or two, and a RB would just about do. A winger too I suppose to replace Zaroury.

Rosie said himself in the post match interview, it's a squad game and that's why ohio wasn't in the team or on the bench. So no guessing required, for this game based on many things we don't know Rosie thought sharp and connelly on the bench was the right thing to do.
He may choose something else for the next game.

He may well, let's see. All we can comment/discuss is the game and I thought it was interesting Sharp was preferred. That's all. Some seem to be on a personal mission to defend Ohio to the hilt which is their right I suppose.

With loanees going back, Traore is probably worth keeping around providing he’s not too expensive. He’s not had a great season but he’s not had a run in the team and we saw how good he can be last season. Also with loanees going back we will be left a bit light in the attacking midfield roles so means a lot less pressure for recruitment in what is an expensive and difficult area of the pitch to recruit players.

Provided he’s not on a massive wage and/or doesn’t demand to continue getting a massive wage I would say it would be a decent punt to give him another year.

No syd not defending him at all you stated this "Says a lot about Ohio that Sharp is seen as more worthwhile" which insinuates LR does not rate Ohio and it does mean that and you did mean that.

Does anyone rate Ohio? I thought we were all agreed he should be sent back after his first 10 minute cameo.

To be honest I didn’t rate him with the way he ran onto the pitch. Took me 30 seconds. It’s what you know.

I’d written him off in the warm up.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. We have a Sunderland fan at work who told me a couple of weeks ago that he’d seen that our game in hand was against Southampton and wasn’t concerned that we might get anything from it, to which, I replied “don’t be so sure, those are the sort of games that we’ll often do something unexpected.”
When I saw him this morning I just said “I told you”! He mumbled something unintelligible and disappeared to his office.

Mate he caused Seri’s blushes, absolute hospital ball a good yard away from the man that put him in unnecessary trouble.

Giles, Zaroury and Fabio will likely play key parts in the rest of the season, Morton has and will continue to do so, hopefully so with Delap too. That's nearly half of our "best" starting 11 who, as it stands, will be returning to their parent clubs.

Connolly, Traore, Christie, Doc, Sharp, Covil and Jacob are all out of contract. 5 of which typically at least make the game day bench.

Seri's best days are behind him and we should be planning for his replacement too.
