Dodds was absolutely savaged in a previous favourv to the club if you recall ...

... I think it's brave of him to do it again tbh.

I think the remit is very, very clear at this point, almost crystal.

This is Mike Dodds' audition, the remaining 15 games or whatever it is, he will have to win over doubters and he will do that by winning games, most supporters don't care who the manager is if he is winning games.

If he fails the audition, Will Still should be brought in, in the summer. It's really that simple.

That’s good but there’s was a large section of our support wernt willing to give him half a chance I always thought you support your club thick and thin but this last couple of months has opened my eyes to what some folk want,we’ve tried throwing millions at it and look where that got us but I still know people who are not happy cos we won’t spend 8 million plus on players

There's a section of out support who have always been like this. The amount of players who got called ****e, couldn't wait for them to leave only to be replaced by a worse players is mind boggling, the worst part is the inability to learn or notice patterns.

Are we sure though, that Dodds really wants the job and will see this as an audition? He already had one after Uncle Tony left, why didn't we stick with him?

The worst is that the section you mention appears to be growing!

Fan pressure. There's a certain subsection of out fanbase who cannot fathom someone from a coaching background being our head coach rather than a manager. Same with players having second positions, they struggle to fathom players can have genuine second positions and pine for a new signing who "plays in the right position".

Nature of the beast when those playing in unnatural positions are doing so poorly and we’re getting beat every other week.

What is this obsession fans have with Will Still?
Before sacking TM I’d never heard of Still, he dosent seem to have an outstanding background of success so what makes him any better than Beale?
Don’t follow managers of foreign clubs so could someone enlighten me please .

He's the youngest head coach in the big European leagues. He's 31 and was an analyst at Lierse. He got their manager's job after being made caretaker at 24 and a similar thing happened at Beerschott. Then he got the Reims job. And, to be fair to him, he's got them going well. 11th last season and I think they're about 8th now. Reims are historically a massive club but they've been in the doldrums for years. Probably since the 1950s. Reims players made up most of the France team at the 1958 World Cup.

There were a lot of news stories about a him a little while back because of his age and because he didn't have his UEFA Pro Licence so Reims were paying a fine every game.

He talks well about the game and he probably has got something about him. He's no more or less of a gamble than Beale, in my opinion. I think a lot of people have been seduced by the fact that he's relatively high profile after all the news stories. It probably would be a bit of a PR coup for the club to get him. Hopefully, though, the club's analysis will be sufficiently in depth that they won't be swayed by the noise around him and, if he is our next manager, he's appointed for the right reasons.

Go and look at his record and where the clubs he managed were when we took over compared to when he left. Good people manager, plays good attacking football and a clever bloke.

You need to weigh up what you want in a manager.. someone who’s good in the championship and could get us promoted but then be ****e in the PL ie Farke or someone with a good record abroad who’s untested here and could do a job when we go up ie Thomas Frank

If you don’t follow managers of foreign clubs, how can you say he hasn’t achieved anything?

Look at the work he’s done at each club he’s been out and how much he’s improved them and you’ll see why he’s being talked about.

He’s working in difficult circumstances at Reims regarding transfer policy and has had to start afresh after every transfer window.

Whoever we appoint I hope it’s NOT someone who has “failed” at his previous club(s)!!

    They WILL fail again!!

I liked Will Still before Beale. I think I still like him.

I dont feel like the fans are going to go for it though and we have some loud fans nowadays.
