Press conference today to clear up loan deal

Jordan Sibley's just tweeted that the rumours over a loan deal will be clarified today.......

If we are getting anyone, it will probably be someone completely unexpected, who will turn out to be another gem!

 

To be fair the way it is worded suggests that any dealings will be denied.

 

I think we will be announcing a loan signing, when have you known Saints (Under Cortese/Adkins) to flat out deny a rumour?

 

Interesting this, because I'm tempted to agree with both of you. But obviously you can't both be right.

 

"Expect the truth to be set straight" doesn't really sound like we're getting someone. Or does it!?

 

Very true. Can't think of any real position we need to desperately improve.

For some reason I doubt it!

But as another poster said I hope it is completely unexpected that turns out to be a gem! (if we do get a loan signing)

Thats the end of that no loan signing what a surprise! May as well wait until Jan - we should be active then.

 

Depending on our position come mod January then maybe we'll strengthen then.

But there is no point if we are doing fine!

 

I disagree. If we are doing well we may find it cheaper to bring in a couple of players to strengthen ready for our possible Premiership campaign.

 

Perhaps players and staff were starting to ask too many questions on the training ground. Adkins may have wanted to set the record straight for them more than anything else.

I say this, because we have been linked to many players recently but Adkins hasn't had to come out and deny any rumours before now.



Now i'm ready for some smart arse, 'think they know it all' to quote this post, disagree with me and dismiss what I have said as rubbish - such is the way on this forum nowadays, it's all too predictable i'm afraid.

 

These decisions are in the lap of the gods, really. If we keep banging the goals in, no one will care. If Lambert gets injured ( god forbid ) it will look foolish.

 

Maybe you're right but we only have 6 or 7 games until the january transfer window opens,it's a risk but only a little one.
