I think there is bigger issues with the ownership of Pools from what he's said but Phillips has definitely had an impact short term since coming in. The lad at work gets to a few away games as well which I always doff my cap at tbh. 'Woking Away' doesn't sound like a barrel of laughs tbf but he's been to a fair few.

 

Gateshead flying in That league as well, and have bottom club at home Saturday.

 

I've lived in Hartlepool since I got married so I keep an eye on them. There are problems with the ownership. When Pools were relegated last year, Raj Singh apparently got loads of abuse and he put the club up for sale. There was supposedly a buyer from "People with Hartlepool at heart" through the supporters trust but it fell through for some reason. Singh has still allowed Phillips to bring players in but not sure if they are permanent or on loan. They must be doing well now though as the son in law and his family are in about going to games again!

 

A proper title race this season. I think it’ll go to the wire with the current top 3.

Yeah. The lad at work says he wants to sell then he doesn't, then asks for proof of funds and changes his mind etc. That can't be positive for the manager/coach. As long as Phillips doesn't talk about us I'm glad he's doing well.
