I'll leave you to the history books, I work on the principle of here and now, and you have absolutely no way of knowing if my subjective view is right or wrong. What I do know is thousands of humans have died as a result of this war, that need not of died, all to keep the West agenda happy as long as it is only Ukranian lives at risk. Most people on here would run a mile if asked to join up.
Ukrainians voted in a referendum and overwhelmingly chose to have closer ties to the EU. Instead Putin's buddy Yanukovych ignored it and decided he'd sign a deal with Russia instead. The people protested, he sent in the security forces and they started shooting. In response to that the Ukrainian government voted unanimously to remove him from power. He ran to the East got hold of his buddy Putin and shortly afterwards a Moscovian KGB colonel called Girkin arrived to stir up trouble, which he did, and has admitted to on camera. Ironically he's now in jail in Russia for being an extremist, ie, a ultra nationalist (nazi). Then Wagner arrived (more nazis) and the **** hit the fan. Putin claimed Russia had nothing to do with them, until Prigozhin's rebellion forced him to admit they'd been paying Wagner from the start. Since then Ukraine has been fighting for it's country, the west hasn't forced them to, we're just doing what allies do. Obviously you're the type who, when they see their friend in trouble, runs away.
Chamberlain aquiesced to the invasion of Czechoslovakia I believe, when he waved his bit of paper in the air. Might have done the Czechs a favour tbh; Prague being about the only European capital not to get completely flattened in WWII. And that's after playing host to both the Nazis and the Soviets.

Most people had never ever mentioned the name Ukraine, most people probably didn't even know it was the bread basket of the world, so no Ukraine wasn't my friend, but they weren't my enemy either. In the same way Russians are not my friends, but again not my enemy either - I would get on with Ukranians and Russians alike. Putin has caused a problem, and as a result of us arming Ukraine, as a so called friend, it's resulted in the massacre of thousands of Ukranians and Russians, why would I want to do that to these so called friends, it's like asking them to commit suicide, how many of the dead can you recite, are you prepared to go and help your friends. or are you all mouth and no trousers, go on Ern, go and join up, be a mercenary - nailed on you won't, you will not help these people who you define as your friends, because it's all gob behind a keyboard, easy words when your life is not a risk.
I feel sorry for Ukranians to be fair, I feel sorry that so many young lives went to waste, buried under the rubble, then their limp bodies used as foundations for the new Russian development, if only there were more Erns in this world egging them on to die for the cause. oh hang on, that is what happened, and what have they gained from it, absolutely **** all, and some Ukranians still can't go home, may never be able to go home, make Ern President, because like Biden he has all the answers, what's a few thousand more lifeless bodies to the world.
