Hey guys Thought a dedicated thread may be handy for us to cover testing photos, updates etc, whilst also fuelling the usual pecking order discussions! Kicks off in the morning so will be nice to get some high res photos of some actual cars, as opposed to the blurred and obscured launch images we’ve had this year!
great idea. i was hoping to see this. this will be the first shot at seeing stuff so I'm hoping that we don't just see a lot of teams running though slow stuff and red bull just twiddling thumbs knowing they've time in the bag. We want to see some kind of stress on them. Ferrari to run zero fuel for political reasons. Fast times in testing are a ferrari classic dodge.
I can't see anything beyond us feeling RBR have it in the bag by Friday, but hopefully testing provides us with at least some hope of a competitive season.
Obviously if they’ve kept the development correlating with real life, they’re bound to lead. What I would say is that they seem to have had to go bold, which tells you they think the others now know their secrets and will make some good leaps. It wouldn’t be the first time Newey has built a mighty machine but struggles with reliability. We can only but hope!
Nice.. Poll should have been who will cause the first Red flag! I’m going Alpine. If McLaren are second at the end of the week I’ll be happy, it seems unreasonable to hope for more than that.
I'll take VCARB for first red flag. Some semblance of competition is all I'm hoping to see from testing. I'm expecting to see Red Bull cruising around on hard tyres, a second a lap faster than anyone else with bulletproof reliability.
