As I kid it was the only way I knew how to play <laugh>.

I don't do it anymore, but it would ease some of the stress the game can cause if I did. I no longer save before every game (what I used to do), to stop the temptation of doing it.

But how do you put that limit on? Unaware they did that.

Well it shows you how many times you've saved it on game status so if we put a limit on it and anyone went over you'd know by the screen shot.

Belvedere but it is like a suggestion from the EU, the French would say they will stick to it but won't, the Germans will write their rules so wide that they will also ignore it and the Italians will just laugh at you if you mention it to them shrug their shoulders as they shut down their computers with the on/off button <ok>

I haven't done so since 05, but that was the most enjoyable CM. problem was/is(?) that there was one formation that was full proof and made the game too easy.

Sometimes I really hate this game! Not only have the club seriously tightened the purse strings for my first season in the championship (under 100k transfer budget and 65kp/w on wages) but I now have an injury crisis which has left me with no fit senior strikers, 2 CB's who are under 21 and I've had to play Andy Hughes at RB as Solly has been out!

Did anyone else find it impossible to bring players in in the championship? I've only been able to sign youngsters released from big clubs, loans now they all want me to pay the wages and a fee (and with no transfer kitty this is impossible!) - although I got Andros Townsend in from spurs and Shane Duffy from Everton.

Just bought Martin Fuluop in for some experience in Goal and Morrison will be back soon, but I've got a feeling this is going to be a long hard season! 8 games in and only 2 wins!

Just sign Leigh Griffiths on loan and you'll walk it! Also check out Fernacovros... they have some good premiership quality players for next to nothing.

Another thing I did was go around all the big clubs (barca, inter etc) and look at the players they released. Picked up a young RB for cheap wages and he is tipped to be a leading Premiership right back.

After 18 games, I have won 14, drawn 2 and lost 2. Scored 37 and conceded 14. 44 points. Although this is with the 2001 engine.

marlon harewood is a good buy. he's on a free transfer and is rated higher than bwp. he's banged in a few for me. Try retraining existing players in new positions. Green is now my left winger and rated better than Jacko.

BWP is still going for me in my first premiership season <laugh>. He isn't doing too badly- think he's got 6 or 7 in around 18 games. Not fantastic, but with the purse strings being tight (don't have money for a loan!!), he is keeping me the wrong side of mid table with my Tunisian striker.

Cousins and wagstaff are stepping up nicely also.

I think I may have just about salvaged it with a change of formation! I've switched away from a 4-4-2 into a 4-5-1 with Advanced wingers and an Anchor man. Up to 17th now but on form I'm 4th so the future isn't quite so bleak.

I tried to loan Griffiths but he wasn't interested in coming to Charlton (I imagine he was probably laughing when he heard I was interested) Luckily Priskin has got fit and come into a little bit of form, BWP has just returned to full training but as he only lasted 1 performance before getting injured last time I'm not going to rush him back into the team. I did manage 1 last signing which was the experienced Paul Scharner to play as my Anchor man - he's not great but my midfield needed a bit of Steel so he's my man.

I think I'll take your advice all hell - just lost him for 4 weeks because of an injury lifting weights in training!

Looks like we are off to Wembley boys (barring a disaster). Had a very easy route to the League Cup semis where I've just beaten WBA 4-0 away in the first leg.

I'll let you all know when the tickets are on sale.

I'm beginning to get bored of the championship; not going anywhere with the wage budget as it is, I think I'm going to start afresh, not sure who with...

My advice is not to load it... the pain of losing a cup final is something that will play on my mind all night.
