Listening to Radio Wales, Jason Mohammed said Tom Lockyer was at Kenilworth Rd yesterday in good spirits yesterday & making good progress

 

Yes. I think he was on BBC radio later on too. So pleased for him.

 

Good news.

I think he'd be a fool to pull on a pair of boots again though.

 

I think he has been strongly advised to forget playing again.

A pity but the right decision for him and his family.

 

I was surprised when he came back after the first time.
There's no third time lucky!

 

He's on 5 Live tonight. Looking well and good to listen to.

So he was sentenced to 12 months in prison, with a further 12 suspended but he’s still free and available to play?

 

It all sounds quite bizarre. Reading between the lines he’s lucky not to have been charged with attempted murder.

 

They'd probably have to prove intent. Assault with a rock has a different perspective than for instance plunging a knife into someone. The likelyhood of fatality is far higher with knife crime, but that's no excuse for a rock wielding thug - the difficulty would be proving it.

I was wondering if we should have a special thread as an In Memorium for footballers who have sadly passed away.
I was lucky to see Stan Bowles play and he had a lot of skill. Top footballer.
